No-another pansy I’m afraid. Summed up last week against Sheff Wed where he should have taken a second yellow card that would have undoubtedly secured a point. All too nice.
I was responding to the should be in refs ear comment. He does. Regardless of whether he's involved or not, he is always complaining to the ref about things.

Not taking a yellow card is another point entirely.

Ah right. All well and good though being in the refs ear-I’d prefer if he’d do his talking on the pitch consistently.

I only saw the last 20 minutes-unfortunately just from when they scored! 😩
Couldn’t really see the handball offense by Wright and why the goal was chalked off but can’t really comment on what happened in regards to decisions previous to that.
Let’s not mask over the fact that it is easy to blame the officials for our shortcomings this season so far.

It is possible for both the team and officials to be poor.

The problem is when you are struggling anyway, to have these poor decisions consistently go against you just makes it harder. A point today coming from behind would’ve given the players a massive lift and taken some pressure off. The poor decisions by the ref will mean even more pressure on the players for the next game.

Do referees ever look back at the game they have just officiated? I guess most do not. Yesterday's performance from the ref was so bad. The lack of consistency was baffling. One example where DaSilva was clearly being pulled back from reaching the ball in the left wing position. Then Sakamoto was penalised for the exact same thing. One example of many.
They always do as a team

2 weeks ago my lad did an open age game and took a hammering from one of the teams. The others were excellent

This continued after the game
Nothing violent but so immature, bullying and intimidating

Led by the captain who I have mutual friends with on Facebook and he just happens to be a primary school teacher! Ffs! Should I expect him to take safeguarding seriously professionally and when at leisure?

Would it be appropriate for me to message him and ask him his thoughts or should I just drop it?

Team reported through the appropriate channels and I sent an email to welfare officer of the county fa as the dad but also an adult watching a child in an adult role be treated appallingly from pretty much minute 1 to way after the game

Thoughts friends?
I think I know the answer that I can’t and it would be completely inappropriate but I would value your thoughts

If it’s been reported through the proper channels, probably best to leave it at that. If your lad is refereeing that team again, make a point of going if you can and video any repeat of the bad behaviour.

No. Do things properly and through the correct channels (which it seems you have) and let the county deal with it as appropriate.
Repeat offenders are now being dealt with (it’s about time) which can now result in points deductions when necessary.
I was very surprised that a step 6 team official who we have had lots of dealings with in the past, recently got a 7 game ban. Hopefully that will teach him that the facade of him keeping up appearances and being the pantomime villain may be over.

Also at a lesser level are judged on “club marks” which is a farce. Home team wins the game-top “club marks” for the referee.
If he awards a last minute penalty in the game against them then guess what…………?

Interesting for the level 4 promotion in that it’s about 10% of what’s used
Interestingly adge the observer was impressed with the lad sin binning two players in one go. The team had to play with 9 men
I assume the observer is a better judge as did my lad

I do feel sometimes good people allow things to happen by not saying something
Having been on the end of heavy handed treatment from social services over a safeguarding issue I really would love this guy to answer for his actions
You and Malc are correct though I know you are

its a tricky one and not knowing the circumstances, only you will know
If a decision is questioned, that in my view is ok irrespective of the age of the ref, so long as it stops at that, and at the same time there will always be an amount of language in adult football, which as long as is not personal is again ok

eg If someone says FFS ref, thats never a penalty - in my view that's ok
If someone then gets personal or threatening it absolutely is not

If it goes beyond that, then absolutely take it further, if it is within those boundaries, then the question is whether a child should be refereeing an adult game - again only you will know.

It gets worse.

Shameful from the referee. How is Morris still on? How was that not a yellow on Simms?

If anything I thought he gave us more decisions than we should have had. Seemed to have no control whatsoever over the game from very early on though

Thought the ref was decent tbf

Haha! I thought he was dreadful!
Mad how people watch the same game and get such different perspectives.

Though I agree with what others have said, that he didn't get any game changing calls, wrong.
