Makes sense for Baka to sign a contract if it’s in our favour. Could sell him for a nominal fee to a league one team next season

Always had a weird feeling they rated young. League 1 experience at a really young age, some under 23 regs on here said he looks very classy

Baka stays, wasnt expecting that.

Hiwula, Brown, Allassani, Wakefield, Maycock, Walters, Bosma, ten bags Hickman all off.

Baka, Westbrooke and Young all have 1 year extensions

To be technically correct ccfcway, it's actually 'ten bags Bayliss'!

I wish Hickman well in his future career, he made a stupid mistake (honestly thank God that social media wasn't around when I was 19)......in fact good luck to all of the lads getting into the taxis (to coin another legendary SBT expression).

Very surprised to see Baka staying. Not convinced he is championship quality. Still think our strikers are the weakest part of our team and could potentially be a problem for next season.

I would expect only about 6 of the retained list to be in the first starting X1 first game of next season and maybe 2 of the bench.
So, plenty of recruitment to be completed behind the scenes.

I like Baka, I’m glad he’s stayed. Worth seeing if he can improve, he’s only young, and has good attributes. Gets a lot of unfair stick from fans and hasn’t sulked about that or being out the team. Good attitude.

I've said it many times, he has got the attributes he's just far too inconsistent. Robins must think he can add that to his game.

Reading the players returning to parent club list brought a tear to my eye!

Same feeling on the 'return to club' list haha. Hoping O'Hare will be back soon though.

to be fair I lost my rag with him a few times because he's so frustrating but I still think he could do something if he can get his act together.
Some of the criticism is way over the top. He seems to lack the natural instincts to be a prolific striker, but he can on his day cooly finish, hold the ball up, link up play and he's got pace and he's a big lad. Plenty of positive attributes.

A bit surprised to see Baka retained instead of Hiwulla, but the latter's shit attitude sealed his fate earlier in the season whereas at least Baka has shown some bottle. Good luck to him and those others who haven't made the cut.

Totally agree, spot on with all those attributes....but for a big lad he's defo not a target man in that aggressive sense, and that, I believe is why some fans don't rate him, they think he should be winning all his headers!
He ain't that type of player and early doors I accepted that, and saw him as someone with all the attributes listed above.

It's interesting to note the stability in the club this end of season, in comparison to some previous years. So, a well done on the club securing players on longer term contracts. I expect there may be some deals in the next month and hopefully MR can get his transfer business done early, like this season.

I will never forget the stick I heard him get at the Ipswich game, some guys behind us on his back from kickoff for no reason, and even when be did good stuff they still found stuff to moan about

Scored some crucial goals that's for sure, who knows he might flourish in the championship.

He had some cracking games last (this?) season and scored crucial goals like you say. Worth activating the extra year. Still learning his trade.

You mouthy little prick. Don’t take offence and grizzle like a child when somebody doesn’t agree with you. Nice you remembered my name as I’ve obviously got under your skin.

You got it spectacularly wrong. Laugh it off and move on.

Baka didn't do too awful against Brum, and as many have said, still young, has the potential to do more, if Robins can get it out of him then happy days.
