Interesting comments from the owners of Brum saying next season they’ll have the highest revenue of any club ever not receiving parachute payments.

Wrexham also coming in with some interesting revenue streams.

With the other 3 coming down how will we stack up presuming we’re in the Champ?

Been talk if Doug looking for investors.

There are rules in the Championship against owners just piling money in

Neither of them will do an “Ipswich” - this league is nuts and harder than they think - I think both of them will end up like Oxford & Portsmouth and scrape safety next season.

This is why FFP is a millstone around everyone’s necks. We’re now behind the parachute teams, Birmingham and Wrexham based on revenue alone.

even if Doug wanted to go for it, we couldn’t

Well, if Birmingham want to spend £15m on the likes of Stansfield, they can have more revenue than us and still spaff it up the wall.

This crowing from the Blues Chairman that they have the highest revenue (hmm) just seems to be a preemptive warning/excuse that they are going to continue to spend big this coming season.
Teams with moneyed owners have clearly found ways round the rules ( we even had a little dabble in it with KoS last year)
Very much doubt their income from match day revenues, TV and merch exceeds ours for example.

It’s all sponsorship from mates ain’t it. They were also allowed Spaff money on a championship ready team because of the differing rules in league one

We’ll see how ‘Championship ready’ that team is. Plymouth managed 101 points they went up and even teams like Pompey and Derby get 90+ points only to struggle this season.

The Championship isn’t for the faint hearted and Ipswich spent several seasons getting their team up to scratch. To the point their playing budget was the 5th highest in the league upon promotion.

Wrexham will be exposed unless they massively revamp their squad.

They've absolutely found a way to get money into the club by going around the rules. Blues fans going on about ticket sales, shirt sales ( ) and sponsorship are deluded if they think that has them anywhere near parachute teams, but then of course they are incredibly stupid. If they start spunking it again they've found a way to cheat, simple as that really.

They're going to be unbearable next year, detest them with a passion. Just really hope they struggle. If we don't go up we should reduce there allocation to 2k, the less of them in the ground the better

They are just cringey, always have been. The fans are among the most stupid you can possibly hope to encounter and they have a weird superiority complex for a club that's done absolutely nothing and for a bunch of people that live in one of the least desirable parts of the country, that is currently famous for drowning in stinking bin bags.

I assume this is related to sponsors?

It does annoy me that the likes of them and Wrexham can access these lucrative sponsorship deals that have more to do with their owners than anything happening on the pitch, and it’s all fine and above board.

This coming from the same dafty that turned a play off charge to a relegation ? Great having all that money but as they showed with the Stansfield purchase they don’t know how to use it

I don’t get how any of them will compete without breaking PSR rules. Obviously doesn’t matter if they go up year 1 or 2 but if you don’t you end up like Derby as the rules will catch up to you.

Wrexham fans are deluded going on about revenue. It’s about gross profit/loss in this league, it doesn’t matter what’s coming in if you’re sending it straight out. The Disney money goes to the owners too. They have an £11m 3 year loss in NL, NL, L2. The league one season will surely be much higher. If they spend big this summer, which they need to with that squad, they will be somewhere around the limit in year 1.

Blues are just living under some collective delusion that they are a huge club with enormous revenues because their fans are thick as shit. The ownership there are fully intending to break the rules and just go for it and if it doesn’t pay off they will walk away from their fun little project. 60k stadium? Fucking jokers.

Is it correct that teams coming up from L1 PSR rules don't apply for the fist season. I just don't get this rule.

Blues fans actually refer to it as the 'project' too. Embarrassing stuff.

Not really. The EFL can’t judge them until their accounts come out at the end of their first season back though so you sort of get a free hit.

Hasn’t really been an issue because nobody has made losses of that scale coming up before.

They're just going to break the rules then for the 1st season back by the sound of it.

Bristol City have had huge losses when they were hiking up the wage bill. £40 million in one year alone

They are vile, I’m just glad the cringey pally pally ship seems to have sailed with them just cause we had to play at St Andrew’s during a very unfortunate time in our history

They were okay for a couple of weeks, then we started winning there, the mask slipped and they reverted to type and started having a huge chip on their shoulder

Dickheads, how any Coventry fan can have the time of day for them I’ll never know - They wouldn’t piss on us if we were on fire and I’d take the Villa winning something every day of the week over them
