A lad on twitter @SideSammy has created an 86 page preview for the season, very useful for the negative City fans who need to educate themselves on League 1

Who are these negative city fans surely the past 3 seasons should be times to rejoice and relive in years to come, with SISU the future is bright.

Don't worry, now a lad on twitter aided by LJC_CCFC have educated us there will be no more negative fans.

Yeah, like the past 20 years it's all been joyful and wondrous and we've all been incredibly excited despite relegations, financial meltdown and eviction from our own stadium.

Beyond me why we haven't had a party every single day since then with cheese nibbles and Twiglets.

Talking about those who think we are relegation candidates without even looking at the other teams in the league. If you want to argue about SISU/Sixfields/The yearning for the golden era of Premier League glory, do it somewhere else

84 pages? I'll save that for when I'm in work I think.

The guy has clearly put a lot of thought and effort into it, it looks well produced, informed and professional. Just a shame LJC tried to share it in such a douchey way.

Are there negative City fans? Yes.
Are there uneducated City fans? Yes.
Nothing 'douchey' about it, just sick of people saying we'll go down without doing any research

Not many saying we're going down is there?

One thing I have picked up on there is the fact that while he has Scunthorpe upper mid table, he has all the others struggling and there is nearly always one promoted team that is challenging for promotion in the higher league. Think he should have equated for that.

I would be expecting at least one of the 4 promoted League Two teams to be challenging for promotion in League One.

He's gone mad with the kit post on his blog. I don't care if we got relegated wearing it, that 60s throwback kit was a work of art.

By the same token, you quite often get teams coming down from a higher division then finding themselves struggling at the lower level. Again, he hasn't done that here. Has them all either doing okay or challenging at the top.

Think he has very much gone for the safe predicitons here and football just doesn't work like that half the time. Always a surprise package or two and always someone you think who will do well, end up doing very badly.

Good attempt though.

It was douchey you were inferring those people who are negative (realistic is a fairer term) are only that way because they need to be educated. It's an I'm right, everyone else is wrong and they are ignorant, with a bit more education everyone will agree with me comment.

douchey

Can we stop saying 'douche' it's easily the most cringe worthy phrase ever.

Everyone who has said it is getting reported.

The real truth of the matter is that none of us understand enough or have full enough information to properly predict and even with that information and understanding you would be wrong a reasonable percentage of the time.

If we win the first game of the season you'll be on here attempting to rub peoples face in it (ignorant of the fact it's exactly what we wanted) and completely missing the point that most of the negative posters are worried about the squad size (numbers, thought height looks like it may be an issue too) and how injury prone our squad looks and so are worried how much we will struggle as the season draws on.

People are rightly expecting a club like Coventry City not to be in division three.

You can harp all you like about that sounding arrogant. However it is a simple fact.

Once fans get their head round that we are in division three they expect automatic promotion.

Once they get their heads around that automatic promotion isn't on the cards. They expect playoffs as a minimum.

Once they get their heads around that playoffs is a 50-50.

They just expect to see their team play in Coventry.

This is where some finally struggle, it is the last kick in the teeth and everything for them is a bit negative.

If I were you I would cut them a little slack and aim my criticism somewhere more deserving.

you know the kind who

think ronaldo is a diving crybaby
think champions league is overated and boring
think anything on sky sports is evil
think italian football is defensive
think anyone who has technical skills and has performed a step over in their life is a overpaid pre-maddona
thinks messi aint all that cos he dont put a tackle in

etc etc

Nah, won't be rubbing anyone's faces in anything.

Coulibaly and Miller have a differing history of injuries, so that's 2 out of the whole squad. Saying that Miller has played 200 league games, so by no means have we signed a 'crock'.

In terms of height, Johnson, Seabourne and Webster at the back isn't exactly small.

My original point was that if you actually compare us to the rest of the league, as it stands we are strong play off contenders, with the additions Pressley wants we should make the play offs.

Like quantum mechanics, if you think you understand football, you don't.

FFS if you were as brilliant as you make out, there's be a bunch of bankrupted bookies out there and you'd be a millionaire.

From your blog, first thing I read (I can go further if you really want your brilliance as a pundit tested):

You On Cameroon said:
This defensive base should take pressure off the likes of Eto’o and prevent another poor showing at a World Cup, having lost all of their group games in South Africa four years ago. I’m positive that Cameroon will improve on the disappointment of 2010

Cameroon lost all three games letting in 9 goals in the process. 4 more than last World Cup.

Shall I go on? Or do you want to admit that you haven't a fucking clue just like everyone else and get the fuck off your high horse?

How about when you predicted Spain would be in contention for making it 2 World Cups on the bounce and that Holland would struggle to get out of the group stages?

Mate these are just predictions, I'm not saying they are going to be right, just my opinion given extensive research and my own knowledge of the game.

My original argument was that unless you've done the research and know about the other teams in the league (basically know anything about the sport you follow), you can't just label us relegation candidates on the basis of 'blah blah SISU blah blah'.

Fact is in football no one is right 100% of the time, so picking out excerpts from my blog highlighting my failed predictions is a pointless observation. All I do is give my opinion, agree with it or don't, but whatever you do, don't make a statement without any evidence to back it up.

In my defence I did predict Costa Rica to cause a shock. So there!

You mean like you did last season?

From your League one preview on City:

Key Player - .N/A
My Prediction - 24th - We've just gone into liquidation, I'm too numb to comment

This, by the way is accompanied by a picture labelled "Tim 'fat fuck' Fisher".

So, again, maybe calm down on having a go at those negative city fans who blame Sisu for everything.

anyone can get predictions wrong shmeee

anyone who didnt think spain had a chance of their 4th major in a row would have been a bit weird or guessing really. although there are some who feel spanish tactics have been found out, i disagree.

i still dont think its end of a cycle either, they have enough talent to keep playing same way and get back to being one of the best by next euros.

The day I wrote that was the day we got the points deduction and things were looking bleak. Again you can pick out excerpts til the cows come home, I'll have got as much right that I have wrong, because that is the nature of football.

People have their own rights and opinions. At the end of the day ccfc is in turmoil and has been on a decline for 15 years now. To go into the season optimistic is either deluded or stupid. We have the worst owners in our history and the bad times are still going on oh and sold all our best players.

To think that the seasons aims is anything more than beating relegation is folly.

You either understand football or you don't...

I'm sorry, but that's nonsense. You can do all of the research you want with regard to other teams and their possible woes, and still come up with perfectly valid reasons for why we might struggle.

Expressing those opinions is just as valid as you saying why you think we won't struggle. If I say I think you're "deluded" for thinking we'll do well, that would be crass. In the same way it's not fair to paint those with a negative outlook for this season as uninformed, which is what you are doing.

Are you so confident that we won't get relegated as to put your mortgage on it, literally? If not, then I presume even you would accept there's some doubt.
