NEWS: Richard Overson agrees to sponsor the Sky Blues Academy

In a unique step, Richard has kindly donated his sponsorship to promote local and national charities – and Sky Blues fans can help choose which charities they are!

Fair play to him!

This was the guy who was helping Hoffman with the takeover I take it he's no longer helping seems a strange move if so?

Who oversee the running of the football club.

That doesn't even make sense. Overson has sponsored the academy which the has in turn been donated to chosen charities, a nice move from SISU if you insist on them being behind everything.

Well done to Fisher for overseeing the 3-0 win last weekend, and fair play to Joy for signing 10+ players this summer.

Maybe a sign that confidential discussions are taking place. Neither Fisher or the consortium have made any public statements for some weeks after previously talking to media outlets almost daily

Are people that retarded? How's it lining their pockets to sponsor the academy for charity?

Seriously, are people for real or too engrossed in getting back pats by fellow morons for that type of shit?:nailbiting:

It's like it's pre programmed now
Jeez! My backs sore!

I'm sorry, I am a Coventry fan, and I cannot deal with this recent and constant positivity. It is breaking me down bit by bit. This is not the way it was supposed to be.

Next thing someone will be telling me that we will beat Grimsby...

GRRRRR FOR FUCK SAKE!

SISU OUT!!!!!

I remember when being the first person to get a "thats what your mum said last night" line in was the cool thing to do before anybody else, it seem's it's changed now to using a random, clearly misunderstood line they have heard somebody else say about CCFC.

Has to be good news. Lucky enough to have my grandson signed on for Acadamy and attend most of his games home and away, don't like to criticise because those running do a decent job to be fair, but imo it needs the extra little bits of professionalism I think should be expected from professional football clubs.
Many clubs that come here for example come by coach for even short distances from Leicester or Villa our lot it's a mini bus or parents regardless of distance, a coach was laid on for atleast one of the Welsh games which I couldn't go to but I think it should be all away trips. Be professional.
Also this sponsorship might put some meat on the bones on our Acadamy future, nothing long term been said yet either where we play, what facilities we will have or if it will still exist long term.

Who is he / where does he make his money. Seems odd to sponsor something and not put your name on it but fair play to him. Letting people nominate charities is a nice touch.

The fella who came out as part of the Hoffman super group a couple of months back in the telegraph. Sold his business for decent cash.

Might be more significant than we think Richard Overson is a well documented part of the wannabe Hoffman takeover group I would guess a main man of that would be consortium. So getting his foot in the ccfc door can surely only be a good thing....I hope.
