That's a tremendous gesture and I like his view point of getting something tangible that he's paid for/towards. Fair play to the guy, spread the wealth.

He's invested in my local team Rugby Town too, massive City fan.

Would love to see him get involved further with a real consortium (not the crazy one he quit) but it is quite telling that he's prepared to contribute like this while SISU are still here.
And even more telling that he quit the consortium and outed the wasps attempted coup.

Fair play and quality that it's direct for projects to make a tangible difference rather than simply a chunk of money. I'd like to think if I ever had any money that could bring such positive changes, that I'd do similar.

He’s a top bloke. If I had eleventy billion pounds he’d be the guy I would be approaching to be in a consortium with. If he ever did become an owner/co owner of the club he’d arrive with exactly the the right approach and with a legacy already in place of wanting to do the right thing by the club. That would be a good place for any new owners to start. The consortium he left on the other hand can fuck off.

Didn’t know that. When you say Rugby Town is that Rugby Town based on Kilsby Lane or VS Rugby aka Rugby Town.

Would be have shares in ryton? I know he is wealthy but is he going to throw loads of money in for no reason?

People don't get to be wealthy by doing that.

Top man, but I thought Ryton was under the hammer? would you install new gym equipment and changing rooms and new drainage system if it was going to be cleared out for housing?
Just my thoughts, but is something else happening

Nothing happening at Ryton for a while. Under EFL/Sport England rules nothing can happen to the training facility until Coventry City actually move in to a new training ground.
They cannot develop it for houses (which was the plan) until a new facility is found, had planning granted and then actually built before being kitted out and the players actually start training on it. Only then can anything tangible happen with Ryton - those are the rules.
We will be at Ryton for quite a while yet.
