There's already been 'outrage' about that but the kids parents say he had a fantastic day and it was filmed in two separate takes so wasn't actually said to the kid.

Very, very good. Very funny in parts and proper sad as well!

On the second episode, superb. Gervais is great at mixing humour and poignancy

Watched them all now, emotional in some parts but genius humour in some.

Just started on it tonight, so first two down. Absolutely brilliant!
Not generally a Gervais fan (think he’s a bit of a knob tbh), but After Life has changed my opinion of him. Wife is going through a possible cancer scare at the moment so some bits hard to watch, but that doesn’t detract from a great programme
