Naaa. It says open air and there's no way Marillion will fill the bowl. The exhibition hall maybe at a push but not the bowl.

Somewhat misplaced optimism (if that is the right word).

Just out of interest, does the fact Wasps stand to benefit financially from these gigs mean any of you will be staying away?

Do they benefit based on attendance? It's normally a flat fee isn't it?

It would certainly make me think twice and more likley to go to another venue on any particular artists tour.

Before anyone starts up not because I'm on some sort of NOPM crusade to force them out but because my personal opinion is that they shouldn't be here and therefore I'd prefer, where possible, to not give them my money.

Normally a flat fee but equally I suppose if it was only half full there is less chance of future bookings. Doubt enough people would make a stance for anything to be effective but like going to Sixfields, Arsenal etc it comes down to what you are comfortable with.

I did. In January. (Check the article date)

Someone has obviously shared it somewhere on the internet universe and it's been well read, so jumps to the top of sections like that.

If it helps, I'm pretty sure it's not going to snow tonight. Which is sad.

Exactly so why was It at the top of currently read articles, It can't be like a hundred folk suddenly decided to go Into archives and simultaneously read It.;-);-)

3,267 yesterday.

I don't know where the traffic is coming from, or who is sharing it. But what it does prove is that a lot of people don't check the dates on articles!

Oops most of that post wasn't there when I replied.
On topic yhis Is what the old guard should have been doing more of to keep our rent down.
On the subject of Festivals It's something that has occurred to me when It got rained off and wasted money a couple of years ago.
What with the cuts and pressure on Godiva I wonder If It will be taken over, upgraded and Monetised?

Hi Simon, I'm not exactly a music man so wouldn't have went anyway but I won't be attending any event at the Ricoh other than CCFC events. Didn't go to the England U21s match for that reason.

Only if it was Reggie and Bollie doing Wayne Wonder & Kevin Little and they sold Red Stripe for £1 a can!

I went Oasis and also went Florence and the Machine. Wouldn't go now. I'm sure the Telegraph will push it enough to sell it out though.
