It was JLR that was mentioned so go on then humour me - who would open it and how?

As for Gareth from the office - yet another line you have "borrowed" from another poster.

Also not addressing the other point - JLR and pretty much any other sponsor wouldn't touch it without the club there.

Ha ha. Someone else has compared you to Gareth from the office that's funny.

I was recently looking for a new digital camera. I seen a RICOH one. I didn't buy it. Nothing to do with the sponsorship of the arena. Just found a canon I liked better

If the deal does expire in 2015, maybe all the talk of us not going back to the 'RICOH Arena' is true; but they're not ruling out returning to the Arena itself, with a new name, post 2015. Ah

When we all talk about the Ricoh and the Telegraph says it, then there seems plenty of mention yes, but unfortunately that's mainly localised as compared to say several mentions during an afternoon on Gillette Soccer Saturday for example? There because of a football club, the name gets mentioned to a potential 16m audience over and over. If the club score a goal or concede a goal yet another live mention from the ground. It goes without saying that if the football club are not in place then the reason to sponsor is almost zero and therefore worthless to ACL. Once again they need the football club.
I'm watching the ATP tennis from Rome and last week from Madrid and all I saw constantly was Ricoh! Hardly think they care about sponsoring our stadium unless there is a football club in place. Perhaps the one thing they do have is thousands see it from the M6 but that's hardly going to help much.

They could buy a sandwich board and a tractor in a field for less.

...and of those 150k per day how many actually have time to notice? - that's why I say thousands. The TV on the other hand is mind boggling by comparison.

We selling ads at the new stadium already?

G as you know these things, how has Tesla got around this with their Westfield store? Is it because you can't test drive on site and have to book? Can you see more car companies doing this, or is it just because no one stocks Teslas that they do?

We advertise on one of the LED boards towards the top of the M5. For 10. seconds in every 60; it's circa. £1.3K per week. If you net that income up, it's a revenue in excess of £400K, per board, per annum. That level of publicity, by busy motorways isn't cheap

Whatever it is worth, it is worth less without a Football Team.

And whatever our football club is worth....might be stretching it a bit here for us to have a worth.......it will be worth much more having a stadium in Coventry. We are supposed to be Coventry City after all.

Probably larger crowds at Sixfields than the audience figures for that on ITV 3 or 4 whichever it was on to be fair.

Of course it is. I can almost taste the desperation on here from some telling us how successful the Ricoh is even without the club. Despite those clamouring voices and similar positive noises from ALC and CCC, without our football club then the Ricoh will ultimately fail. I notice a distinct lack of stadium acts this summer.

More emotive language here - and the offering once again of opinion as fact.

"I can almost smell the fear, as those desperate for the Ricoh to fail begin to realise that it isn't going to happen".

It's just as valid a statement that - and similarly ludicrous.

The truth is that we simply don't know how well the Ricoh's going to do yet, and it might be a few years before we do. Inconvenient that, if you're hoping to see ACL go bust for some reason.

Those opinions don't exist. Well, within context they don't. They exist in response to those who predicted the Arena's imminent collapse if the football team left. Which hasn't happened. Also with the backdrop of knowing what the true motivation was for the move, and disgust at our football club being used as a chip in this high-stakes game of roulette.

The second context being those who took a moral stance on the apparent distress caused by one business to another to seek financial advantage. There are some who can't stomach such tactics, and feel an affinity to the 'victim'

To be fair that's obviously not true. In all honesty though, I wonder if the numbers watching the Football League show to the bitter end (when we're normally on) are any higher than the ones watching the snooker on ITV4!

We don't know how well ACL are doing at the moment and probably won't until the next set of accounts or sooner if it is raised in court at the JR. What you could argue is that the venue/arena was built in part to host our club playing home games there and is failing on that score - but ACL didn't move us out to Sixfields.

If ACL are making enough on Psychic Sally bookings and corporate gigs then that's great for them. However we won't know how well they're doing financially for a while, the same with the club. We can make guesses but that's all they are, and whilst it's nice that Mrs PWKH said ACL are doing well, I'll wait for the accounts thanks all the same.

With average daily viewing figures of 2684 for ITV4, then I wasn't too far off.

To be fair.
