Seems to be implicating that there was financial issues.
It reads to me as financial issues with the companies being taken over not in Manhattan funding the takeover.

For the past five months we have been working closely with both the football club and the Arena company to analyse what is required to secure this future. "It has been clear to everyone that the club has been operating under severe financial pressures and these continue. "Frankly, the Championship is a very tough economic league for any team to operate in.
"The Arena is a fantastic asset to the city of Coventry and a great home for Coventry City FC. "It is, however, still a young new business and is finding its feet. "The Arena company have shared their numbers and plans with us and, indeed, have been open to our input into how we as a group can assist and support this growth. "The Arena, at this stage in its development, is not the total solution to the financial challenges the club faces but clearly can be a very important part of the future.
GARY HOPKINS and his fellow investors in Manhattan Sports Capital Partners have a track record in closing over EUR100 billion of transactions.
Plus that was a couple of months before they flew over wasn't it?
But that doesn't imply they have financial problems, it implies they are doing full due diligence and have concerns about the financials of the various parties involved. You have to read it in the context of the other quotes in the same article.
If you look at the people actually involved on the Manhattan side they don't come across as people who would have financial trouble due to a fluctuation in the exchange rate.
Does seem odd that if you didn't have the money to fund the takeover you would fly over, have a meeting with the council and only after that meeting pull out. Can't see it being coincidental that other parties also pulled out after meeting with the council.
Don't know. Like you said the rent was £1.2m. Where the other £2.8m come's from beats me. He doesn't exactly say, it's quite an ambiguous comment really. Could mean quite literally anything.
We could speculate all day on what the issue was but the fact is whatever it is they are not blaming other parties just the opposite.
The Manhattan groups backers may well be wealthy but you're assuming that they were going to use their own money. Did the Glazer family use their own money to buy Man United or was the majority loans secured against the club?
Aside from the comments of Joe Elliott who I believe was acting as club chairman at the time it was said you also have to look at the worlds financial institutions health at the time. The credit crunch was just about to happen, America's banks were offloading toxic mortgages off to anyone they could almost bringing down the British banking sector. It really isn't beyond the realms of possibilities that Manhattan group couldn't raise the capital. There's certainly enough conjecture to suggest it's possible if not probably. Certainly (unless you know better) no one from the Manhattan group has ever pointed the finger in any specific direction other than themselves.
Who knows. Maybe it was all the councils fault, who knows it could be due to lack of available finances. I don't know but by the same token neither do you. What is evident is that there's more than enough history out there to draw more than one conclusion. Unless someone from Manhattan group has piped up and specifically said it's for this reason or that all we have is supposition.
Still not a mention of Sisu.
There's no point arguing on this board other than to flush out people for the fun of it.
It defends Sisu actions by diverting everything to CCC or Wasps.
Scared or bought ?
Manhattan Sport Capital Partners are an investment vehicle, they don't raise money on the financial markets but through investors, so I don't think the stuff about the credit crunch is necessarily relevant.
Based on the wealth of evidence of ACL (CCC and / or Higgs) playing hardball in negotiations to anybody but Wasps, I'd suggest that the issue was probably to do with the amount of capital needed at the time.
If that is your motivation then you are acting like an arse.
I doubt it though, at present it seems to be your party line when you cant back up your arguments with evidence.
If you have a point to make, make it, don't pretend you are here for the wind up, as I thought you were bigger than that.
Whats the point of arguing ?
It always comes back to CCC/Wasps.
I can't be bothered to keep raking up the past so I'm trying to move this on.
I've made my point but it's not the point the board likes to hear.
Question. What is Sisu's plan for our football team?
Board Answer. It's Wasps/Higgs/CCC fault

I dont want to argue either I would much rather talk about the football.
There are a couple of things.
If you dont want to keep raking up the past, why enter these threads? Let them be, as you said you have made your point, unless you want to keep arguing it?
Secondly I dont think anyone knows SISU's plan. We will sadly have to wait and see. No matter what, no matter what anyone does, they wont tell us either.
Finally, I hate SISU, I dont like Wasps. I dont aalme one for the other, my dislike of them is not linked. I have repetaed that time and again, and I know you know that is the case with me. I just wanted to show there is grey sometimes, its not all black and white.
You haven't made your point, you called bullshit and asked for evidence. You got evidence and links etc then just say "whats your plan SISU".
What do you mean the point the board likes to hear? It's strange as you used to get all excited about majority and minoritys, I don't doubt that a lot of people share your views for SISU but don't agree with the way you go about it and put things across by just saying random stuff randomly like a pissed up bloke in the corner of a pub.
Still waiting for you to back up your accusations and insinuations. I also said why don't you make a thread questioning SISU or a protest, rather than trying to defend Wasps, getting proved wrong and then coming back with "whats your plan SISU".
Start a thread about it, don't just throw it in random threads at random times when you have nothing else to say and expect everybody to start frothing about it.
I don't even know the price and availability of my season ticket. Something I suspect that every other club in the country already knows.
Bore off !!
I'd suspect that is due to the move to Ticketmaster isn't it? The season starts in about 3 months, worry about that when it gets to the end of July.
Is that the official Sisu response ?
With the introduction of a new ticketing website, dedicated contact centre, as well as the ability to print tickets at home and various other improvements to our service, this new partnership can only benefit Coventry City FC. The new service will be introduced over the next few weeks, starting with our season ticket renewal campaign in early May.

No, it is common sense isn't it? Rather than the rabid ranty approach.
I had a look at a few clubs and although most have got STs for sake already there's a still a fair few that haven't, so no we're not the only club. Its evident to the news this week that the a) not knowing what league we would be in (it only became a mathematical certainty last week and b) the ticket master deal are the main reasons behind the delay.

You really need to move on and leave the past in the past.
You're not the only long term ST holder. It doesn't bother me, I know they will go on sale at some point, I know there will be an early bird price, I know that my seat will be reserved to a date beyond the early bird price, I'm not going to fret about something that really doesn't matter that much. All I'm asking for is communication.
As a long term season ticket holder it's the least I can expect.
Wheres that from ?
Do I need to look for it ?
As a long term season ticket holder I expect to be emailed on that as a minimum !!
What price are they ? Surely they know that ?
Is there financing ? Surely they know that ?
I'm not being super critical but this is basics for us fans.
We are kept in the dark on a need to know basis. Communication costs nothing these days.

Moan, moan, moan, moan, moan.
We've got far more bigger issues to worry or moan about on whether STs go on sale in April or May.

If we didn't moan about the ticket system would we have got the improvements?
Sometimes you need to tell them as it is or nothing improves.
So now you are moaning because it is being migrated and they haven't released ticket info yet because of it?
Is that the official Sisu answer?
Surely they have been planning it for some time and didn't just decide last week ?
Is there an early bird, what price are they , is there financing etc. ?
It's all about communication !!
Always seems like jam tomorrow to me.
Why would it be the official SISU answer? What are you going on about?
Can you not read? It says the campaign will be early May. You knew this, you also saw this in the Ticketmaster thread you posted in. Early May gives 3 months, plenty of time.
If it is still the same situation in July then you will have a point. I very much doubt it actually affects you does it?
Is that the official Sisu response ?

Can't you differentiate between sisu and the football club? Chris Anderson is in charge of the day to day running of the club, like your mate Eastwood is in charge if the day to day running of wasps, would you be complaining about him or Richardson if they hadn't got their season tickets out or if the pies aren't quite hot enough for you?Is that the official Sisu answer?
