If CCFC came into some money (new owners) and gained ownership of the Arena, it'd look a lot better if all of the metalwork was painted sky blue. Also, the cladding on the inside which is currently white would look better navy imho.
I don't understand why we don't buy half of the lease and be done with it. They have their parking, food and beverages, we have ours. Split the concerts down the middle and costs of pitch and stadium maintenance. Everyone's a winner and no bursting into Hot Chocolate songs thank you.
They've asked in the past but Wasps aren't interested in selling.
Blues won't need that much capacity in League 1 ;-)Are BCFC carrying out the necessary safety improvements to the Kop and Tilton stands? If we are still there next season then certainly Blues will want the capacity and who knows, maybe we will up our numbers.
It really does need some TLC. Shame they haven't used the past 12 months to get things back up to a decent standard. Could probably even get the council to pay for it and say its for City of Culture of the Commonwealth Games.
Was cancelled over a week ago with the intention of rearranging within the next few weeks. I don’t think there’s a conspiracy but it would be nice if major announcements were close and so the meeting was delayed to make them possibleI see the planned Supporters group meeting for tonight has been cancelled due to Dave Boddy now not being available.
Anyone think there is more to that or just a genuine case of Boddy not being available?
I know how a lot of people like a good conspiracy theory!! (Including me)
Boddy intimated there was progress by his notes in the Brentford 'From the boardroom' article -Probably postponed to stop the inevitable all groups asking the same question about returning. If he says anything either way then all groups need be all over it and could scupper any potential confidential talks. Cancelling is wise until there is something concrete to report and I wouldn't be surprised if that was the forum he chose to announce a deal once finalised.
Is a bit odd that he suddenly couldn't make the meeting...
Highly unrealistic, but I like your thinking! This is hugely unlikely and probably crediting everyone involved with far too much joined up thinking but with talk of the Euros being held entirely in England could we see a similar situation to the cricket last summer where grounds with hotels attached were selected to help avoid covid infections.
Can't see games going to a rugby ground so would us returning to the Ricoh put it in contention for games.
As I said very unlikely but we live in strange times.
Pure speculation and I know Wasps had some money to do up the Atrium for commonwealth games but just seen this:
'State-of-the-art' Coventry sports bar to open by spring
Would you put a new sports bar in unless you were expecting footfall to increase? Where’s that footfall coming from all year round?
As usual an article from the Telegraph that just leaves you wondering WTF and why they aren't asking any questions.Pure speculation and I know Wasps had some money to do up the Atrium for commonwealth games but just seen this:

I would hope, if we're back there, and presumably a sensible deal agreed with relation to food and drink inside the ground, that city supporters will give this bar the wide berth it deserves. As usual an article from the Telegraph that just leaves you wondering WTF and why they aren't asking any questions.
1) nothing in that article sounds 'state-of-the-art', it sounds like a run of the mill sports bar you can find pretty much anywhere. If you're going to call it state of the art and cutting-edge explain how it meets those definitions.
2) is CWLEP tax payer funded? Why are Wasps getting taxpayer money to open a bar?
3) is Bridge the worst reporter in history? 'mystery had surrounded the reason behind fencing', he reported on it back in September!
As I said at the time not really sure this is a great idea if they have hopes of it being used on anything more than a match day, and even then it will only move custom from other facilities there - no doubt to the annoyance of the casino. Can't imagine anyone making the effort to go there on a non-matchday.
State of the art Shuffleboard though, open 7 days a week until there's nobody there Monday to Thursday. As usual an article from the Telegraph that just leaves you wondering WTF and why they aren't asking any questions.

I hated that c**t. Glad he blocked me - bet he’s wanking himself silly over the bad pitch
Not sure that’ll help it.
I think the Highfield Rd ship has sailed. The Ricoh makes sense atm until project Warwick Uni proves to be more than a pipe dream perhaps.Return to the Ricoh?
No, rather we had highfield road. The ricoh has no atmosphere, clearly wasn't within the clubs interests or within an affordable price and because it's so far away from the city and the streets, it's a boring pain in the arse to get to.
while you are right, it needs to be got behind in the short term, rather than give some of our super loyal supporters, another excuse not to goIf the Warwick uni idea ends up being plausible and it's placed nearer a built up area, then it would be the best option I feel. Heck, if it's going to be a smaller size stadium, we might be able to get Cov Rugby there too and make it the real stadium for Cov Sport.
Honestly, when the ricoh project was put into motion, my first thought was why and it seems as though it was the right question. The place is just void of all purpose and just another project for the council to look like they were doing good.
No smoke without fire - not sure a large investment as this would be without extra footfallPure speculation and I know Wasps had some money to do up the Atrium for commonwealth games but just seen this:

I want to buy the club, but not if they're renting from Blues. ONLY if they are renting from a rugby club from London. Until.that happens, there's no deal.Sisu need us to be at the Ricoh to sell the club, just something I was told.
If we return and stay up with the rent likely to be lower than 1.2 million - would SISu technically have us in a better place then when they found us?
Tbf, it is easier to get to St AndrewsReturn to the Ricoh?

Not for mostTbf, it is easier to get to St Andrews
..
That's a firstInteresting from Simon.
