I stand to be corrected, but I don't believe the council do have a controlling interest in ACL.

There are 5 directors..http://www.ricoharena.com/about-us/meet-the-team/board-members/

2 directors who are trustees of the Higgs , 2 directors who hold senior positions at CCC & an independent director...

The independent director is also a Director of Hitachi Capital Insurance Europe Ltd & the Higgs director who is not PWKH is also Executive Director of Property for Virgin Media.

Whilst reading this thread, it got me thinking about Sisu's exit plan and what sort of return they are looking at when they finally head off to ruin someone else's life. Just say for saying sake, if they bought the Ricoh for £40m and with all the debt they have already and what they stand to lose from the Sixfields debacle, what do people think be a realistic figure they would want for a stadium and team united and how much longer we would have to put up with them and their hold over us until they got it, would they be prepared to take a hit on it just to go ? What sort of person would be interested after they bought it who wouldn't be interested already ? wonder if they would try and sell to PH4 considering his links to NFL and try have have a two sport stadium.

I guess ongoing legal action would make him think twice about buying it direct at this juncture, same goes for anyone else.

Everyone with possible interest will be waiting to see the outcome of SISU's JR.. so nothing at all is going to happen till that has been dealt with.. no bids for Arena, no stadium site purchased by SISU, no return from Sixfields, no nothing.. I think 2 years of no changes is pretty much a nailed on certainty..

They won't pay anywhere near 40m for it. The deal would have been done by now if they would.

All they do is use litigation to try and get what they want. The last court case I know of involving SISUE and other than our club is when the judge found against Joy. The biggest complement he gave her IIRC was on the lines of she might have been very forgetful. But who would expect that from someone in her position.

All I can see for us is years of litigation if she don't get her own way. That is unless something happens where CCC gives them the Ricoh for peanuts, and this isn't allowed by law unless nobody else wants the place.

The accounts have been shown. This has shown a profit. And by the sound of it the profits are getting bigger. SISUE on the other hand seem to do anything they can not to have to show the accounts for our club.

I'm not sure if the JR really has any impact on the sale of the freehold. Why would it?

So why are SISUE chasing the JR so much?

To me they are hoping they will be able to use it in some way to get the freehold much cheaper. And who else would purchase a freehold in a property when there is a court case going on about the ownership it?

Not worthless. Just worth less. And that is why we are suffering having our club playing in Northampton. That is why SISUE won't even have us play there for free.

Of course not. I dont think you are quite understanding what I am getting at. If "the people of Coventry" bought the freehold (because the people of coventry dont already own it?) then what exactly would we do with it? Its a pointless exercise.

I guess it depends on your mindset as to whether you believe that the only end-game in SISU's mind is to recoup their losses and get out as soon as possible when they have achieved that (or got to the point where they have cut their losses as much as they can) by selling on the whole caboosh.

Or, there is another scenario that might be worth thinking about, however unpalatable some might think it to be, and that is if it all comes together as per SISU's master plan, and I don't presume that many people outside SISU actually really know what that may be (although there is no shortage of wild guesswork and conspiracy theory with no real foundation in fact), SISU will look at how they have reduced the debt from huge to next to nothing in a relatively short period, and then will look at having got rid of the debt, working in profits in future years.
Don't forget that although our main concern is all about the football team (with the obvious exception of the Ricoh stadium devotees), that is almost certainly only a part of SISU's interest. They will almost certainly want to explore opportunities in developing other, non-football, income streams, but if they can pull it off and make our team competitive with the best at the same time, I say good luck to them.

while I'm sure there are a few people that use mm for million it is wrong and you will confuse the majority of people by using it.
