We are in danger of having no stadium. If ACL manage to move on we are in trouble.
The Ricoh is our only chance. Sisu plan will be the death of the club as we will have so much debt we will not be able to afford it.
I don't know how they could move on, as there's no sports team big enough to play there, and there'd be some huge building costs to redevelop our part of the arena.

But if they did move on, and SISU liquidated, well then we would see the death of the club.
If SISU start building a stadium, then that's when we form a Phoenix club I think. I can't keep supporting a SISU owned club.
Agree with that. Stadiums like Twickenham, Millenium Stadium, Wembley seem to survive on a few big matches and concerts. When you really think about 25 days in 365 is not a lot.
They could probably double up on concerts, premium rugby games, some under 21 games. Should move up the ladder on availability alone.
Is this why ACL are quiet?
Remind me - Coventry is the capital city of where? I know you aren't the brightest spark but Christ.....

i went to see the red hot chilli peppers at the ricoh and have to say its better music venue than Wembley, couldn't say about the millennium but does it need to be a capital city. its pretty much bang in the centre of the country and has good road and rail links, more music concerts is an easy sale i would say, a rugby league cup final, maybe. it is predominately a northern sport so a lot nearer to the fan base for that code of rugby than Wembley with capacity possibly the only sticking point. rugby union, not going to happen unless we get awarded the world cup again at some point, but that's not a banker. under 21's why not, it worked out well in the past.
there is scope out side off CCFC, but clearly it was built with a football team in mind and that is where we should be.
How much do they make out of concerts? Name one venue in a demographic similar to Coventry that has a venue without a permenant resident.
Lucas admitted without the loan restructure they'd be stuffed. Cash flow has to be an issue. No one knows the loan terms but we can gaurentee the tax payer will be propping this institution unless something is sorted.

If SISU shock us all and build a new stadium, are you seriously saying that we should form a Phoenix club?
If we get the new stadium, we will be able to receive 100% income streams, we will be rid of any involvement from CCC/ACL etc, happy days imho.
OK so the new stadium will probably not be in Coventry, but that is not SISU's fault is it?
Also if you take a close look at what SP is doing at CCFC at present, would you seriously turn your back on this to support a Phoenix club?
We will have so much debt by then that we will not be viable.
Don't think for a minute this SISU fianacial support whilst at Northampton will not end up in the club.
When SISU go they will still keep the stadium and rent it back to CCFC.
Pies are just SISU reasoning and not worth the change.
So would Haskell and so would Byng - so would anyone else who actually owned the building.
Its ownership of the management company that will massively improve revenues - not rocket science but then again......

Tell me, what are these income streams?
Every Penny generated when the club plays at home, and nobody else sticking their noses in the trough and taking share.
Hows that for starters?

At the end of the day the damage has been done. Even if we return to the Ricoh this season I believe all this shit has probably lost them 2000 fans already and the longer it goes on the more they lose.
But of course Sisu know better
By the way you would be surprised at what the Ricoh can be used for or even changed too I can't say any more but watch this space...

Is there a time scale on "watch this space". I was wondering why Ricoh / Compass / ACL et al were so quiet. I get you can say whats going on, but are we talking days, weeks, months, years before we find out ?
....or they could invest in reclining seats so the fans can look straight up...
..."re-create that special feeling of watching Bothroyds City"
