Just had a look on GMK as someone said it was back up and I tell you what some sad fuckers post their don't they?

Glad i've never posted on the bag of shite, sorry to all the guys who have come over to here as so far as you all seem like nice guys but what is with the ego's on GMK? I'm fully expecting half of them to talk in third person the majority of the time, the problem is half the guys still on GMK are in denial, times cange SBT is now the best CCFC Forum on the net with the best Admin's, Mod's and Community.

We're all Cov fans at the end of the day, but reading posts of egotistical clowns is not the way i and by the looks of it the majority of cov fan's want to go about reading and talking about the latest cov news and that's why the majority of people are now posting on SBT i'm sorry to say, not with this cracking story about people intentially trying to divert traffic and bringing sites down not once has a bad word been said from the Admin of SBT to GMK quite the contrary, whilst over on GMK the Admins berate the owner of this site, granted behind the protection of a false name.

Well that thought did cross my mind, I was a user of another forum and the owner there made similar claims, the site no longer exists as most people got bored of it all, but I will them the benefit of the doubt, especially seeing as Knowl is attempting to change things on the site.

I joined Sky Blues Talk some months ago, but seldom used the site. However, since GMK started experiencing problems I visited SBT more frequently and now visit it and post regularly. I like the speed and the simplicity of the site and the content. I find it easier to use than GMK. BUT I still vist GMK and will continue to do so (until some twit starts being abusive again to some of my posts he/she might not agree with). I also vist Kev Monk's site (Coventry City Mad) every day as it has up to the minute news. Occassionally I have a peek at the West Terrace, but it isn't really for me.

I use/watch both, but frankly, I have problems with both. GMK has been great in the past. Good game reviews from Knowl, excellent banter (including with Hackeyfox) and some intelligent discussion. But it has real software problems and doesn't seem to want to take the plunge and change. This site works well, but I have problems with contributors who don't seem to want banter amongst Sky Blues fans, let alone with anyone from another team's fans. For heaven's sake, Hackers is an intelligent & well meaning wind-up merchant. There's no malice in him whatsoever - so let him be and welcome the banter.

Its not that banter isnt allowed it is more taking threads and making them stupid. If somebody makes a post about something and then it goes stupidly off topic and ends up about something completely different then nobody wants to read it.

Nobody likes reading through 100 posts of crap to see 3 relevant posts do they? It is a forum to talk about city, banter is allowed but 3 pages of relevant arguing is pointless?

If somebody wants to just post "c*nt" all of the time then what is the point? Clearly just trying to get a reaction You can tell sometimes when GMK is down as they come over to here and post c*nt this and c*nt that and when GMK comes up they think it is cool that they swore on here and how everybody is boring.

I am all for banter, but at the end of the day most people want to talk about what is going on with city, not read about somebody calling somebody else a dickhead.

Agree with this and the main thing that made me switch full time to this site was the lack of idiot City fans determined to ruin threads with unfunny crap. I do miss the old pun threads, and the banter with Hackers, but for talking about football this site wins hands down.

I'd agree, but there do seem to be some one here (ex CET forum?) who don't seem to agree. Tere has been some stupid name-calling that passes for argument on GMK lately. Generally I just ignore it. I know Hackers isn't a malicious person and I have spoken to him and he seems a sound guy but sometimes he does try to wind people up. I like having the outside view of the team and sometimes he does post decent stuff that I enjoy reading but then other times he is just out to get a reaction...

There is nothing stopping humour and I agree that just move onto the next one but if a thread is about "How well did Murphy play against Ipswich" it is stupid to have 5 pages of that just about how big leicester's gates are. Like I said I am all for banter but at the end of the day it is a site about footy so we do try to keep things on topic.

When you say if a thread is off topic just go onto the next week, that means the thread has been ruined and is just pointless. Times that by a good few and that is when people stop reading because every thread is full of crap and completely off topic.

At the end of the day this place is about the members, a forum would be nothing without members so if 95% of the members don't want to read crap then they won't. I have put a lot of hard work and money into the site as well as the mods doing a lot to help to give city fans a place to talk. Why should we let bored 17 year olds be pricks because they want to wind people up?

I have seen a fair few using this site now that are regular GMK'ers....and I welcome you (specially the well behaved ones!)
I hope they all realise this is a much better place.
The guttural aspects that got way too far on GMK was one good reason I left it.
