Eirik Horneland
The cost implications of hiring someone like that would be insane and there’s nothing to say they would recreate their success here.
Would be great, but zero chance of that happening.
Would be happy with Wagner or Schumacher off that list, but I don’t think the latter would come here. I think Wagner is currently out of work though?
But the idea of appointing McFadzean is farcical. You talk about cost but that is a situation King has created. To appoint a decent manager then the chances are they will want their own team, so the existing coaching team will go at a cost.
King has put himself under pressure he has to get it right. Taking a cheap option could be disastrous, how much would relegation cost us?
Got any better (realistic) alternatives?
I mean Jose Mourinho is probably out of the equation.
Fuck me. I'm about to jump off a cliff.
Some of these names are absolutely terrifying.
The more I read into Robbie Keane the more it interests me
He's recently said he wants to manage in the Championship, he genuinely did.
Alex Neil is one of the worst mentioned IMO. Drab. There are some names that fill me with dread. Why is Nicky Butt in the running? Alex Neil too.
Dennis Lawrence? JesusAfter some extensive research (20 mins) across some some of the finest data miners known to date (Wikipedia, football manager) I’ve come up with the following:
I would like:
Eirik Horneland
Kim Hellberg
Denis Lawrence
Graham Potter (dreaming)
I would accept:
Robbie Keane
Brian Barry-Murphy
Ryan Lowe
I do not want:
Matt Bloomfield
Frank Lampard
Steve Holland
I believe that the actual quote was, and I’m paraphrasing here…
“I would jump at the chance to manage Coventry City. I’ve been a fan since I was a small boy. I’m sick of the hot weather in Turkey and the level of officiating is too good; there is more to complain about in the Championship”
He did say it, about the Championship, not City!
I think it was more his way of having a dig at VAR as he said something along the lines of he'd only return to England in the Chamionship because he hates VAR and the Championship doesn't have it
Obviously it was tongue in cheek
Also looks like they brought their new man in to do the same and he’s not doing that well. Model not working or him I wonder?Head coach

@robbiekeane Brace yourself m8I'm now about to look into Robbie Keane
2bh with the structure and style of play… you can blame Pep for that. It’s all about system playersIsn't it just a bit of a reality though that most modern day managers / head coaches all try and play the exact same way anyway ?

Football is a business.
It’s why I don’t blame the players for fucking up the play out of the back. No sane should be expecting Kitching and Thomas not to fuck up considering Ruben Dias and Ake occasionally doIt’s about copying Pep but without the world class players to pull it off.
I don't understand how some people have little emotion when things like this happen at the club .. it's just alien to meGreat. Well just appoint my cleaner as manager. She runs a business too.
You have a cleaner. Posh bastard.Great. Well just appoint my cleaner as manager. She runs a business too.

no, there's 2 different modern schools of coaching, positionalism and relationismIsn't it just a bit of a reality though that most modern day managers / head coaches all try and play the exact same way anyway ?
