It does not matter who gets the job after Robins, he still has the same set of players and i dont expect any major improvements this season
Wouldn’t it be great if we got someone who can actually take us forward. The stats offered up on certain managers do not always tell us all we need to know. But the likes of Lampard should not even come close to our wanted list.It seems to me MR knew the writing was on the wall. I believe in an interview around QPR game he mentioned these kind of results could cost him his job. So I bet Doug had been clear with him for a while where he stood, I do not think it came out of the blue to MR. Therefore I would find it unbelievable for Doug and board not to have put a lot of thought into succession planning over the last month or two. I’m sure they have their shortlist and may even had some initial meetings to sound people out.
We have an owner who has made it clear Premiership is goal, therefore the new manager/ head coach should be capable of buying into this plan. I was Robins in, at least for the remainder of this season, but we are where we are now and need to look forward and not back.
Clearly there are lots of capable managers that could do this job, if we believe MR was the only one then we are deluding ourselves,
Don’t mistake shareholders for directors, or directors for board members. Just cuz Doug is sole shareholder doesn’t mean there is not a board. There isn’t a board as Doug King is the sole director.
This means that all important matters are his sole decision rather than a collective one. I do hope that, even though they aren’t directors, he has people around him with a good range of knowledge that he uses as sounding boards.
Of course there is an exec team.Don’t mistake shareholders for directors, or directors for board members. Just cuz Doug is sole shareholder doesn’t mean there is not a board.
Isnt John Taylor still COO?
Ooh good shoutOurs are more volatile becuase we’re a small market. If me and my bro both put £20 on John Terry he’ll be odds on favourite
Some great laying opportunities on Betfair if you can get a rumour goingYeah that was my point really. Hence no weight should be put into who is the favourite as this stage.
Totally agree, maybe someone like Carl Baker? For me, the only people who could take some of the bruising away from the way they’ve sacked Robins, is bringing in a playing legend to manage. Maybe someone like Doyle, or Kelly. not saying those particular, but someone who would connect with the fans as well. One thing Robins did and understood during the tough times is connect with the fans, that was part of the magic.
Can we have McLaren as his assistant doing accents?Deeney
Barton
Barton with a French accent

I hope so. I doubt he’d use an iPad and he has passion.Michael Doyle was at the Derby game.Could it be him
What’s Bloomfield achieved? That's the effect of the rumour. Rumour released, punters read it and place bets. Odds shorten.
If the teams playing well he'll speak with a Dutch accent, if it's going bad he'll speak Patois with Lats translatingCan we have McLaren as his assistant doing accents?

Won 6 on the trot, 9 out of the last 11. +32 goal difference. Top of League 1. 29 points so far. What’s Bloomfield achieved?
Legend, I use to love "Men Behaving Badly".Interestingly, I’ve just found out that Robbie Keane is a cousin of Morrissey.
This set of players are capable of top 6. Certainly top 10.It does not matter who gets the job after Robins, he still has the same set of players and i dont expect any major improvements this season
Madness
Exactly. None of that computer nonsense.
Dietmar Bruck in as assistant to get the old boys in Block 1 onside
Does he use an iPad?I used to live opposite Dietmar Bruck in Cheylesmore - nice chap

Nicky Butt?? WTFRoy Keane has made it onto the list now.
