Club legends should not come back to be manager.
Look how it worked out for Gary McCallister

leave legend status at player level for me
Outside of his club status, he’s actually rated. Has managed Maccabi Tel Aviv and won a league and cup double.

would fit into the current structure, and more importantly his status would afford him time.

id also throw out Anthony Barry, but he’s just became England Assistant Manager so unlikely

Surely they know who they're targeting/giving it too? Cant see them sacking MR with only the Sunderland game before the international break if they didn't have someone lined up.

Was worried we'd give it George or Delaney but with Carr put in interim charge that looks like none of the current coaches are getting the gig.

The statement about working with the current coaching lends itself to an unknown. Cant see a Lampard or the like not bringing their own staff in.

Bloomfield in the guardian might make sense.

I heard a few weeks back from a friend who knows people that move in the same friendship circles as Lee Carsley, that if not given the England job (yes he did want it despite what he said in the media) that he would be interested in the Coventry job if it became available.

I’ve genuinely no idea if this is good info or not but maybe plausible with his remaining links to the area and club ?

Bloomfield finished 16th in his first season with Wycombe and has only just started getting them playing good stuff

It's taken over 90 matches to see this happen , King won't wait that long

Reckon Doyle was only at the ground last night for a job interview, since he wasn’t actually interviewed at HT as the former player? 🤣

Was very much ‘Michael Doyle is here. And now for kick it for a ticket’ 🤣
I genuinely thought this for a fleeting moment last night

I have a suspicion that this will have been planned around the same time as Vivesh left, but would have caused too much uproar had they got rid of Robins too.

The way the club is set up has clearly steered towards the European set up, moving away from the manager role.

Which leads to my second suspicion that we might end up with a foreign manager, similar to the route Sunderland 🤮 have gone.

Also how Hull have tried (and failed) to set up.

I really liked Robins, I hope that this move pays off.
The list of big name favourites to take over makes me shudder as I remember Peter Reid.

I'd rather we look to Europe than Bloomfield. Yes Wycombe are top of the table but his tactics and style of play doesn't stand out to me at all.
