Top 4 finish in the prem with a ridiculous squad he underperformed with.

he’s utter shite
Of course we wanted him in or at least I did to save from the first relegation,it was impressive watching those names tripping off commentators tongues back then!

It was a ridiculous squad. He then went and spent £220m the following summer and got sacked. He is shite and would be an embarrassing appointment. We go on we have a squad of prima donnas, well lampard man management was that bad he had to have Cech act as an intermediary between him and some of his squad

Top flight time machine had his number!

No but as I've said these people have atleast been correct on many things
Some of them have been correct on some things yes.

But knowing who we're signing or letting go etc. is very different from claiming to know the personalities of players. One is a fact, the other is just one person's opinion.

Apologies got left behind here, thought we were talking about Allardyce not Lampard!🫣🫣

Didn't Mike Ashley hire him at Newcastle?
No, Freddy Shepherd hired him and a few weeks later Ashley took control

Freddy Shepherd never actually wanted to sell NUFC but had the rug pulled under his feet by Sir John Hall who sold all his shares to Ashley, who was then obliged to bid for the rest

Big Sam said on under the cosh podcast had Ashley not taken over he’d have done really well at Newcastle

When you take a look at the parade of crap on the betting odds, it screams that the decision to sack MR wasn’t related to poor form. I think MR had way too much say for DK’s liking.

Either that; or the board are a bunch of clueless **checks notes** Wank Albatrosses
The betting odds are completely irrelevant, no idea what you're going on about.

Don’t mistake shareholders for directors, or directors for board members. Just cuz Doug is sole shareholder doesn’t mean there is not a board.

Isnt John Taylor still COO?

I am familiar with the difference. It would be a bit disappointing if I didn’t after 45 years practising corporate law 😆

Doug King is the sole director. It doesn’t mean that he doesn’t have people around him who offer advice, even though they are not directors.

The market for “Next Coventry Manager” will be so ridiculously small, that any amount of money placed on someone will guarantee them a place on the list. I really wouldn’t place any credence on it.

I could bung £50 on John Bond, and he would be 2nd favourite in a hour*

*I’m not going to

Can’t be right. I’ve already had £100 on him and he hasn’t appeared.

Before or after the Portuguese press reported that United were going to meet his release clause?

Why do you think Bloomfield is favourite? Because of the Guardian article saying there’s been an approach. There’s nearly always some kind of substance to the possibility, so obviously the odds get shorter as people lump on.

My point is that I’m finding it fuckinghard to think of a better manager than Robins.. one that we can afford and would be interested in the job.

Spoke to a number of Wolves fans today. All bewildered by the decision but we have their blessing to take O’Neil off their hands.

He seems the 'new' type of Manager/ Coach it seems DK wants in place. Someone who leads from the front in using his laptop during a game, to go with all the assistants also using their laptops. Part of me really hates modern football!

Yeah completely uninspiring

This is slightly facetious as I know he’s only the interim and whatever but there is something very funny about the current England manager being seen as a non-inspiring appointment.

Tbf, England have been shite in the games he's managed and who actually watches the Under 21s games? I can't see him giving up the U21s job to come to us anyway.

Aidy Boothroyd was U21s manager, I'd never have him back in a million years.

I’d have Roy Keane. Would love seeing him say to the players “DO YOUR JOB”
