Potter is top of my wishlist
Same here then I'd say Moyes,Potter is top of my wishlist
When did Lamps become a friend of Doug?
See I’m actually open to a left field choice such as Bloomfield and Sheehan. I’m basing this on the research has been done and they’re tactically astute. Robbie Keane I’ve kept tabs on and would take himWhen he realised he could swindle a job probably like everyone else.
what an absolute bag of wank.
The Workingerarti? He could be a changed man now, he might be part of the Woking agenda!

some as you suggest are an absolute bag of wank
Wasn't actually that good as a manager was he .I’d have Roy Keane. Would love seeing him say to the players “DO YOUR JOB”
Keane doesn't seem to stay anywhere very long, not always his fault but for that reason it's a no from me.See I’m actually open to a left field choice such as Bloomfield and Sheehan. We have.I don’t really know who I want. Let’s face it every manager linked is gonna have positives and negatives as we are not the sort of club that’s gonna get an anorim where everything they’ve touched has turned to gold.
Your gonna get linked with coaches that have top coaching badges but are completely untested at this level which can go one of two or ways. Or you go for more of a bigger name that’s got experience and more likely to bring in players of a higher stature but who too are likely to have had unsuccessful spells at clubs.
I think that’s why this is so decisive when it’s difficult to pick out who can be better than robins. This will be make or break for Doug but we’ve just gotta back whoever comes in and hope for the best.
Yeah I spoke to someone who is family of a ex member of playing staff. They were very happy robins was gone and said what a awful person he was etc. just cos disgruntled on behalf of the family member who's career didn't quite work out under robinsBecause unless you're there on a daily basis you're just getting someone else's opinion, who's likely biased and probably disgruntled themselves if they're talking shite about squad members to someone external.
That is the worry and trying to stave off relegation until that happens. We have.
Just get the feeling we are now going to go through a number of managers before we get one that's good enough.
Yup.That is the worry and trying to stave off relegation until that happens.
I'd have Gordon Ramsey in
Yup.
I honestly believed we weren't going to be in any relegation battle this season, but if we do start going through a succession of managers, I think it is a lot more likely.
I can see honeymoon period, followed by failure.
Would love to be proved wrong. It's just what we have had before. A succession of appointments and firings
Carsley played down the links in the press already.Carsley has some weight I think.
No annoncement yet, as he has a final England U21 fixture to play next weekend. Tuchal taking over in Jan, and may want his own man managing the U21s.
Local to the area (or at least used to be), ex-player, highly rated coach, and probably wants a crack at club management. If it was to be him, I am sure it's been agreed already. His swerving of the question yesterday, suggests he's interested, or already got the job.
If King has pullled the trigger with no clue on the replacement then it just makes the decision even worse.
Odds on us appointing someone and then sacking him before the end of the season?Yup.

I said I’m open to this. I’m more interested in whether they’re tactically astute.Bloomfield is like EMC: uninspiring then 18 decent month in L1. Sheehan is completely untested. Keane has managed in a pub league so also basically untested.
Because of trust in Robins to get it right and turn it round, as he has done beforeYou have been fairly blinkered in your assertion we’d be ok this season based on nothing - certainly not performances abd results.
Probably quite high...or ummmm, low. If you know what I meanOdds on us appointing someone and then sacking him before the end of the season?

I agree. The poor starts have really hurt us and we really looked like we would come flying out of the blocks this time round. We shouldn’t be putting ourselves in that position Otis, consistently starting every season poorly.
Only so many times will things start to click after a certain period or things change that help change the tide.
Pre season was really positive, a lot of people were gushing after the Everton game.I agree. The poor starts have really hurt us and we really looked like we would come flying out of the blocks this time round.
It is very frustrating for sure.
Agreed I think the difference this year was there wasn’t a great sign of performances improving unlike previous years. Previous seasons they kind of hit form and off they went. This season every time we’ve got a result we’ve stumbled again and put on a performance where the players just haven’t looked at it. You knew on weds within 10 mins we looked in trouble just not up for it. That’s been the worrying thing.Pre season was really positive, a lot of people were gushing after the Everton game.
I don’t believe that there would have been a solution this time in any case unfortunately, I guess we will never know now.

It was really baffling that after two fabulous wins, we suddenly couldn't even string two passes together and seemed very flatAgreed I think the difference this year was there wasn’t a great sign of performances improving unlike previous years. I left on Wednesday with the distinct impression the players didn't want to play for Mark Robins anymore. It was really baffling that after two fabulous wins, we suddenly couldn't even string two passes together and seemed very flat
Was expecting us to come out buzzing
I agree but bloody hell what a statement of intent that would have been !People who are suggesting Graham Potter are seriously out of touch with reality
Tempted because he’s thick and knows fuck all about football?Interesting read. You could see why Doug might be tempted…

iPads, get with the program! He seems the 'new' type of Manager/ Coach it seems DK wants in place. Someone who leads from the front in using his laptop during a game, to go with all the assistants also using their laptops. Part of me really hates modern football!
