Why are we only thinking of managers who are out of work ? Sunderland paid compensation for there’s, nobody had heard of him, hasn’t turned out too bad so far, curve ball on the way ?

People sniffing at Robbie Keane winning the Israeli league but wanking themselves silly over managers in the Swedish and Norwegian league
Made exactly the same point yesterday
Apparently winning a league , a competitive league , isn't good enough
Would at the very worst be a connection which is something lacking currently

Not at all, just pointing out that there may be some hidden gems out there. That guy has a good record across 4 clubs and 15 years. Keane has 1 years management experience.

Thomas Frank hardly had an amazing CV, Denmark U16, U17s, U19's, then Bronby

Yay. The future is bright!!

All joy to the world.

I suppose the best way of looking at it is, he can't be a failure forever. At some point it has to click, even if it is Toxteh U11's, reserves for girls

Gerrard can come in as Lampard’s assistant. With the new rules about only one member of coaching staff being allowed in the technical area, one would have to sit whilst the other went.

Everybody knows Gerrard and Lampard don't work together!

Would we be happy with a great coach without first team management experience but with a first team coaching record including Europe over several years?

Currently manager of Guinea-Bissau. So assuming he’d jack that in.

Seems to be following Marco Silva. Would definitely be an interesting one
Is Marco Silva good? Was crap at Everton (when they actually had some good players). Has had an awful lot of money at Fulham, but has not done anything special. Relegation, promotion, mid table but then next season probably relegation, as their arc normally goes.
What about the Aberdeen guy? Jimmy Thelin.

Our old chief analyst did a lot of work with Guinea-Bissau I think. Let me see if I can find the video...

Was a really interesting watch ( I thought)

I did think of Thelin initially but I think he’s only just joined Aberdeen. Could a be difficult one to tempt

Can't find it. It was a podcast with our previous head of analytics talking about how he used football manager to help Guinea-Bissau find players who were dual-nationality and call them up.

All of the staff employed since King took over have been a bit 'average'. Do we think our new head coach will be the same?

it wont be Frank - the betting drifting too much
I doubt he has made his mind up yet = as no other strong runner in the betting
Yeah it's very very rarely the bookies front runner with this market.

I remember someone on here tipped ole gunner solskjaar to villa as he'd been spotted at brum International and I banged £20 on at 33-1. Ogs went 1-16 and then turned them down!

Was fuming

I've never understood how there can be betting markets on decisions made by a person/people. You'd have to be a mug to put money on without inside information.
