Yep Moyes would be mine but unrealistic.

friend works at wolves and apparently they’ve already spoken to Moyes and Potter should they sack O’Neil

If I was King I’d be moving heaven and earth to get him

We do this with so many players; laugh at them like they're useless - then all of a sudden they're not. I agree he doesn't look very technical, but he runs his nuts off, and though not a starter, I'll give anyone a chance who puts in a shift wearing our colours. Incidentally, I'm a big fan of Bassette by the way, and think he has loads of potential. despite his current lack of goals.
Andy Morrel fan?

looking at it from the players point, who would they be more looking forward to coming in, “ right lads its the wycombe manager “ or “ lads this is rudd Van nistleroy” imagine the buzz around the training ground if he got it, thats what we need, and his CV isn‘t bad either, just think lampard and carsley wouldnt have the same impact ?

It may be unrealistic - not as much I suspect as Carsley or Van Nistelroy - but if he’d come Moyes would be totally top of my list. Hes a superior manager to robins - is down to earth and practical - if we can’t get him fair enough but ideally surely if who is not in work he’s the stand out candidate

Was the 11th best paid manager in the world (Inc International managers) at the time when at Everton and won nothing.

Did well at West Ham to be fair.

I think all 3 would illicit some buzz surely? Ruud has the best rep to baggage ratio probably. Lampard is up there with all time great Prem players probably.. but question marks over his management.

You can't really sniff at Carsley great career, won the U21s euros and he has led England (interim admittedly) but he's got a big profile off it.

i meant as players. The foriegn lads wouldnt really know alot about carsley, midfielders would love lampard, but they all know what RVNs done, just think they‘d give a little bit more trying to impress him,

Isn't Moyes more in the manager than head coach role though?

Moyes would certainly be a far more solid choice than most of the names mentioned. But isn't he more of a manager than the elite 'head coach' King seems to want?

The head coach title is a red herring. It just means that recruitment doesn’t report into them …..

This is common place now …..

Almost all new new appointments are given the title head coach.

For some reason some on here and in the Cov Tele have interpreted that incorrectly

It is almost surreal that we seem to be fishing in a pond of household names for our head coach, none of whom will come cheap, yet Doug King is getting stick from some.

Don’t get me wrong. I think he sacked MR too soon and the fact that some of the candidates are household names doesn’t guarantee that they will be a great coach for us. It does show however that DK is thinking big, is ambitious and is prepared to splash the cash to try and get us someone good. Surely he deserves credit for that.

It's pointless discussing Moyes. May as well add Klopp into the conversation.

I think you're right, though I'd still have him over anyone else mentioned just due to his wealth of experience.
And let's not forget, to win that European trophy he had to finish in a decent league position to qualify in the first place.

I'm still thinking it will be someone not even mentioned.

Every media outlet has jumped on the rumour started by some Man U fan outlet.
Very difficult to prove who’s applied for a manager’s job, which makes it the perfect fodder for rumours. Unless this YouTuber has a direct contact with Van Nistelrooy (or his agent etc) then I don’t see how they could know it for sure - given that this kid doesn’t have any kind of track record for breaking stories then I find it very hard to believe.

Doug King has no cash to splash except that generated from the Club.

In my humblest of opinions..

Moyes would be by far the best, but wouldn’t excite the fans.

The rest of these names- don’t give a toss, nobody sticks out at all.

King should do what he can to get Moyes, we get the best chance of promotion from the names mentioned, but be prepared to not see the type of football we all apparently demand.
