I actually don't mind the bizarre Cov-Sunderland rivalry.
It's actually good for once (certainly since the Villa days which was before my time) to actually have a team that cannot wait to play us instead of being the team no one cares about.
Even when we played Leicester a lot in the Championship it was very much a one sided rivalry that wasn't reciprocated.

I don't mind the Sunderland thing either really, just think it has gone too far and there are a few hotheads who need to have a quiet word with themselves.
I don't agree that the Leicester thing wasn't reciprocated. I think there are some on both sides who are indifferent to it, but when you have fans of both clubs living and working side by side, there will always be a rivalry and for some it matters a lot. The two cities are only 20 miles apart so it will always be there, but it will never be as intense as perhaps it should be. It was a bit full-on in the 80s though.
