Wheelwright lane is inside the no parking zone?

I was going off the map posted, go up Winding House Lane and turn right in to Wheelwright and it was clearly outside the zone on that map, same with Burbages Lane which was the other road asked about.

Did they extend the residents parking zones at some point? There's not much information on the council website.

People should read the highway code pedestrians now have far more rights than ever before. The way some drive round car parks let alone roads would be better suited to racetracks.
Having said that the A444 problem was caused by idiots who think they can outrun cars when the crossing lights have changed to red.

The signs were put up at the same time the stadium was opened. Certainly in the Ash Green Area. Maybe you never ventured that far? There are not many signs. It’s only this season that they seem to be ticketing more often. Another swerve is to park in the side roads on the burbages lane new houses estate. Or on the grass near the pub on Wheelwright Lane. I’ve never seen a car ticketed on there.

Me, I walk an extra 1/2 mile and park just outside the zone.

Obviously we lost last night but it's been happening every game now. The stadium is half empty by 88 minutes. People are leaving in their droves to get away early.

The road closure last night will put people off ever coming to midweek games.

Was just coming on here to start a new thread about this. We didn't get out of car park A for over an hour last night. It was an absolute joke! Midweek as well when kids have school etc. I swear so many people who have paid for that car park just don't use it now. Must have seen four cars bump into each other in the melee when it opens up this season as people are so desperate to get out.

I was considering leaving early tonight to hopefully get out before the closure but couldn't. A steward in the car park said someone working for the car park company in a van who had closed the road off was pulled out of the van by a group of lads. Don't know if that is true but might have possibly added to the delay.

Since they came into force (well, a few weeks after) I started taking the train. Piece of piss in comparison.

More would if it was better organised, I’ve used it after the recent 1230 kick offs as we have to be dropped at the ground so we only miss the first half hou, it’s also nice they are free

There’s a bit more to come over the next few weeks.

The Rotherham Road, Holbrook Lane junction is being re-worked from 10/2.

Leave before the end almost every game to get out of CP C which is a nightmare if you get caught up in the queues to get out. Travelling from out of town with a child makes sense to use a carpark, but considering options for next season.

Think someone on the match thread said they were told traffic was being held as it had kicked off somewhere.

But the fact that 4 people were so impatient to get out of the car park that they crashed into other cars perfectly illustrates why the roads are closed. Would you trust those people when there's thousands of people trying to get away from the ground?

Obviously not an option for people with mobility issues but for anyone else park outside the closure zone and you won't have a problem.

Was in my seat until the final whistle last night and got home at 10:15pm.

I usually park at Blackburn Road but got there last night and it was full. Parked at Tesco and left at 83 minutes, back in

Park in Blackburn Road every game, but got there last night to find it full. Where do you park outside the parking restrictions?

I live 2 and a half miles from the Arena. Left 5 minutes after the final whistle, and was home by 22:30. I walked. Crazy that I'm getting home way before people are getting out of the car parks.

The club have said on Twitter that there was some kind of unusual circumstances last night that prevented the car park opening sooner - they haven't specified what yet.

Personally I got home at 12:15am, which I think is a new record for a weeknight...(it's usually more like 1:30)

This must be why I got woken up by an overly chirpy CWR researcher this morning asking if I’d go on the Phil Upton show to talk about the text I sent last night saying we were stuck in car park A.

I will give it to the end of the season , if it’s still being closed I won’t renew my ST . Just not worth it for me . 1 hour stuck and add on 3 hours drive home just not happening

Stuck in car park A for an hour. Travelled back to Dudley knowing full well by the time we got there the M6/M5 junction would be closed with long diversion. Home as the church clock midnight bells were ringing. If I wasn't retired I wouldn't bother.

Unless people have mobility issues I can't get my head around people choosing to not go to games rather than walk a few minutes to a car park outside the restricted zone.

Disabled passenger in my car. Not an option.
But loads of people last night thought they could park near the exit, have a drink in the Anecdote or casino then just push into queues of cars that had been waiting since the end of the game. We saw loads walk back to cars once they started to move and that pissed off those that had been waiting.

Because people have already paid £150 before the season started for a parking season ticket.

Post-Match the other night was a joke, I didn't get on the M6 until just gone half 10 and even then I feel like I made good time compared to other people

I also agreed to give a Leeds supporting mate a lift home, he was not allowed to walk round the perimeter of the ground to come and meet me owing to the one way system, which as a concept is completely pointless anyway as if you wanted to fill someone in that much you could just walk to the A444 where they make them come out and meet them there

I also sit in Block 10 the last block before the seg and they have decided to close the stairs closest to the away end, a whole block filter down one flight and causing a lot of overcrowding

The way we are assumed to be a criminal or up to no good just for being a football supporter is an absolute disgrace tbh but that is the society we live in unfortunately

People are talking about not going at all next season. Not sure many people have already purchased a parking season ticket for next year, are they even available?

I maintain it’s going to cause a fight or a crash in that car park. Never been anywhere with so many people pushing in and basically being an arsehole and it all stems from the ridiculous restrictions. Why they wait I’ve no idea. No one is on the roads, just empty the car parks first instead of opening the roads at the same time. People are capable of sharing the entrances before a game what changes after? We’ve seen pedestrians before. Give people 5-10 to clear out then open up the car parks onto the empty roads for twenty mins then open the roads up and I bet everyone would be out within half an hour.
