Robins had zero clue (3 Viewers)

I have no issue with this kind of criticism.

But as you say he goes down in history for what he's done yet I've seen posts saying 'fuck Robins' and 'hopefully' he gets sacked next week.
You've got to ignore 90% of post match comments, people are emotional and post knee jerk comments.

There's clearly issues that need addressing, not least the lack of midfield signings, but also we look tactically poor, and unable to effect games once we fall behind and MR is unable to get the best out of certain players.
Other teams have sussed us out, and it's clear we can't play our style when under a high press, and that's when we need to go 2 up top and switch play quicker (not go long ball, but look to release players quicker)

Maybe a new assistant manager would help, as it looks like AV may of been the power behind the crown all along, and someone on the pitch needs to take responsibility and show some fight (kitching maybe, if given a chance)

Because Bidwell was knackered and Dasilva is better in the final third.

It's not difficult, even for someone who thinks Kenny Jackett and Gareth Ainsworth are incredible tacticians.

Sorry, what you say might be correct, but that's not what was needed, it was a poor substitution.

Des Buckingham doing a good job at Oxford (although they lost today). He's the kind of manager I'd go for.

He's done well at Oxford, but that doesn't mean he would do well elsewhere. If other Championship teams are looking for a new manager all would pick MR over him. Bringing in a new manager would be a complete lottery - we might hit lucky, but most would be likely to fail. After all that MR has done for us, it would be particularly poor of us to sack MR as early as September.

I'd have liked to see the Belgian kid kept on with Simms up front as two strikers in the 2 Nd half. Not sure what we saw in Mason Clarke ran around a lot but produced very little.

I hope this isn't the start of a manager losing the dressing room

Won't panic yet but be a liar if didn't say it crossed my mind
Tbf, it didn't look like there where dressing room problems on Wednesday night.

Maybe there's recovery/preparation issues or the training isn't doing what it should.

There's another tough fixture next week, but we've got a full week to get the squad ready, and the performance rather than just the result will tell us a lot.

It was poor because of the timing.

In terms of personnel what else could he have done? It was one of Dasilva, kitching or Lati!

He could have done none like for like subs.. shocking but true.

Will be sad if Robins leaves, yes we should be doing better than where we are at the moment but I really think this team is lacking personal in key areas right now and not sure a change in manager solves that.

Starting to think we need Ady V back , and if MR goes then I’m more than happy AV comes back as manager 🥳
Really can’t see that happening. It is obvious though to see who was the brains behind what had been achieved in the last 5 or so years.
Since Lawrence and Vivash have gone generally tactically we haven’t got a clue. Today is another great example in the last 4 seasons Swansea play possession football and put on a high press. Yet we turn up as though it’s something new. You have to question the management and the coaches fuck knows there are enough of them yet they either can’t see how Swansea play or are incapable are getting the players to play against it. For 10 minutes after the second goal we looked as though somehow we had worked it out and started to look dangerous. Then we reverted to what we had done in the firth 30 minutes.
Whoever had responsibility for coaching defending needs to be sacked now defensively we haven’t got much of a clue as we give soft goals away week after week.

if there was a new manager it would be Delaney or Boateng - Doug would not be spending money outside of who he has already brought in

No idea but couldn't have done much worse to try something different.

At this point i would probably try 3 at the back to see if we can stumble upon a working formula.

I wouldn't be averse to trying three at the back either.

Only problem is we've spent the summer recruiting and training for four at the back!

He got it wrong today but I don’t think he’s in danger. Starting 11 was terribly naive selection. He needs to start with the spine which whenever possible should be Dovin, Thomas, Kitching, Eccles, Sheaf and Simms.

So you think that teams can't change shape during games to either attack more or defend more? 🤣

It was needed but 20 mins earlier

I don't agree bidwell been terrible all season but he ain't been great recently and jds played well Vs Watford. Not sure why he didn't come on earlier.

Also regarding subs it seems we only really have options for front 3. Midfield and defence tend to get left alone for the most part.

Don't really know where to start. It's a mess. The lack of leadership at the back and midfield are clear as day and it's unbelievable they haven't been addressed. The formation is utterly wank. It takes Robins ten games to change it normally. If he sticks with the same formation in the next 3 games with any 3 of Allen, Torp, Eccles and Rudoni in the midfield he will be sacked.

Had a gut feeling since last season that this will be MR’s last season. Not saying that I want him gone but reckon he’s got 4 more games. Can see us bringing in someone like Rosenior if he goes.
Rosenior is at Strasbourg I think

We have 3 centre forwards, 4 if you included Wright. But we have also signed a load of wide attacking players.

Not sure how we make it work

In reality, there won't a great deal that could be juggled with the starting line up. We have limited fully fit midfielders and Tats isn't exactly ready for a fulll comeback yet either. Other than swapping EMC for Wright, jds for Bidwell. Kitchin for Binks nd Wilson or Dovin (all like for like) there wasn't a great deal of game changing possibilities other than 2 up front

Sheaf obviously not fit enough to play.

So you have a choice of Dasilva, Kitching or Lati for the final sub.

It's pretty obvious what the obvious change is.

Probably beyond you and 'smash em early' Nick though.

Sheaf is Our Best Midfielder, So Why Didn't Mark Robins bring him On, if He's Not Fit, He Shouldn't be in The Squad, Poor Man Management. 😲

Something isn’t right behind the scenes; not sure if it is the Adi situation or the new backroom setup.

Whilst accepting we have some quality in the squad the midfield looks so pedestrian. Who’s that down to MR or King/Scouting department?

Lots spoken about the sports science upgrade but the players don’t look match fit to me. A few times today MVE made some really strange movements like he has a knock; we play him every game. How long until he pulls up?

Not sure what the answer is but for what he’s done for us I really hope Doug isn’t trigger happy.
