With a heavy heart but I’m sorry but that’s enough.

Robins been brilliant for our rise through the lower leagues but this is a step too far from him now. It’s sad to seem him struggle like this with the so called most expensive squad ever.

He clearly can’t get this squad to get results. Tactically he’s all over the place and yes some players need to step up, but it’s up to the manager to motivate them. They’re not listening to him and that is a huge warning.

People don’t want to include last season but the reality is apart from that FA cup run the 2nd half of last season was average. Our play off season was built on 2 superstar players in Vik and Gus with the crux of an old school type of squad.

Our home form and CBS was meant to be our fortress. Now teams can come here for an easy 3 points.

Mark’s interview just now is repetition of other poor performances. He can’t say we’re a good team if we keep losing like this. He’s making bizarre team selections especially at the back. Kitching and Wilson for example shouldn’t be anywhere near the team. In the end he threw them all under the bus anyway.

Maybe these players aren’t as good as we thought they would be but they should be collectively doing better.

Buck stops with him, he’s too stubborn to change things with formation or go change it up positively. We are so predictable opposition mangers must be laughing. There’s a danger this turns into a horrendous season. We should be improving game on game, not getting worse.

Time for a change in my opinion and this isn’t for people to have a go at each other, but we won’t see the next step change on the pitch without a fresher, more tactically astute manager.

I don't want him gone just yet but can agree with the part about the interview. It didn't fill me with any hope or excitement. It genuinely didn't sound like he had much of a plan. It's repetitive. Same old stuff about doing work during the week.

I thought today would be the day he finally pointed the finger at certain individuals for lack of effort but he's just too nice.

It's a bad mix of players playing poorly, a lack of effort, plus a poorly drilled, unorganised side.

We were awful last season until Mid November and things turned. I'd give him till then.

Not saying I don't disagree with many of your points, but before we get reactionary, who do you want and do you think they'll get a better tune out if the squad as there are very limited funds or scope to change things.

The last paragraph I completely agree with and is what I’ve been saying, we need a more tactically astute more progressive modern approach

There will be plenty who will fancy the job. It's a squad assembled with money spent.

I don't think Doug would be willing to pay anything more than Robins is earning now.

I think a more tactically astute manager would and maybe would know how to deal with some of our so call superstars and their egos. Money isn’t the answer here, it’s about having the know how to change a formation in game or being brave with positive subs

Yup. Exactly.

If the squad isn't good enough (and we are clearly short in midfield), I can't see a new manager being able to do anything different. It will be square pegs in round holes and we will still have a midfield deficiency.

And who are we going to bring in, in defence to stop the leaking of goals?

It will still be the same players.

Someone who can motivate them better .

I don’t want him gone. Everyone Doug has brought in has been garbage and Robins going will just be more of that.

Things need to change though. New faces in the dressing room at least. We keep having one game looking bright, then abject shite the next. Robins strength has always been a high base performance level.
How do you know that they are garbage though?

Agree there will be plenty who would want to take on the job on. Off the field it’s very stable now with investment, support is large etc. The players we do have in the main are talented but need someone to get the best out of the team and gel them as a team.

I’d have zero faith in King to find a replacement.

Our form is horrendous, as said above basically from Wolves in the cup to now. I feel like we're burying our heads in the sand a bit with regards to Robins, its form that could see us relegated if its allowed to continue and that simply can't be allow to happen.

He's already got his excuse in that players are away on international duty.

For me, we have to win against Preston (or at least an amazing performance) else time is up.

We rarely beat Preston and a defeat will likely have us in the bottom 3.

Or was this Adi Vinesh and his Training methods which worked players hard to ensure they would in games.

Reminds me of the concern Gary Mcsheffery had about Robins without Adi

True, isn't there another international break next month?

Its too soon right now for this one and a new manager I think. The next one would give a new manager time
I think if it doesn’t happen tonight (and I don’t think it will) then it would have to be the next international break. Not only that, we would need someone lined up so we could get them and staff blended in asap.
