I think its very close and i don't think it will be just Robbins that will go. I cant see Doug putting up with much more for much longer.

It’s 9 games in and a new manager has to deal with the structural issues the team still has. There’s a lack of quality in midfield and defence that needs to be addressed in January.

We have a great squad after significant investment but we just don't deliver.

Why didn't we change the midfield today? It just wasn't working. At the current shape of things we'll be fighting relegation.

I'm not Doug, but if I was I'd be considering my options unfortunately

We don’t have great squad. The midfield is worse now than it was 22/23 and likewise, the defence.

You can stack your team with attacking talent but they need the ball in dangerous positions. Likewise, we won’t win many games if we cannot clean sheet.

I went to see a surgeon in London this morning ( I'm having surgery in early Nov ) and he said no going out for 4-6 weeks after the surgery. So no more Cov games till around Xmas. I should thank that surgeon for saving me for having to watch the team putting in such poor performances & a manager who seems to have lost the plot

I think he’s bought himself some time with the Blackburn win, there was some fight there but the next few games are horrendous and our home record is appalling this year

Still don’t really want Robins to go, but the performances this season have just been mindblowingly bad considering the supposed quality of the squad.

Have a lot more anger directed at the squad though. A lot of those player who I just seriously hate at this point. The two clowns at CB who make 10 mistakes each per game and then look for someone else to blame are the worst offenders, but Haji ‘can be bothered 1 game in 5’ Wright, Ellis ‘more movement from an oak tree’ Simms, and the invisible midfield can all fuck off as well at the moment.

I will be having surgery too sometime in November being confined to barracks for a good while. I feel like a condemned man having to watch more of this from the living room.

As pissed off as I was at the end of the game I'm inclined to say he deserves a chance until at least Christmas.

The reasons for that are:

1. He's lost / had to rebuild a team losing some absolutely key players in terms of their ability and / or experience and / or character
2. He's said that scouting players isn't within his remit
3. The backroom restructure is being done to him not by him
4. The expectations are not necessarily proportionate to the reality of the squad we have

Points 1-3 won’t change. Point 4 I agree, but this is a squad that should be aiming for the top half.

All are reasons for him to leave unfortunately.

We’ve all been duped by the expectations. But even Robins said we’re going to have a real go this season. I think we all know play offs is a pipe dream but I did expect a bit more in terms of quality in terms of on the field and tactics.

I’m worried about the inability to change a game when it’s clearly not going as planned. Wednesday made subs and that played a massive in them winning the game

The last paragraph I completely agree with and is what I’ve been saying, we need a more tactically astute more progressive modern approach

what the fuck does “progressive modern approach” mean?

what was “progressive and modern” about Sheffield Wednesday? They were huge, athletic, great game management and well drilled, I saw nothing of fancy modern methods on show.

Absolute dog shit today, no idea, no passion and Robins stood with his hands in his pockets with no plan b...fuck it no plan a...you can have poor players but still have passion or awareness of what's expected ...we are seeing fucking nothing

In my job if I stopped performing in my role the company would eventually replace me. That’s how King would see it too unfortunately

Lol yes , something sedate . I'll have to cut down on my moderate drinking as I'll only have one kidney.
Best of luck with that - donating ? One of my best mates after discovering that he only had one kidney developed kidney cancer in his 40's. Long story short he received a donated kidney nearly 15 years ago and it changed his life .

I don’t want Robins to go, I’d love him to be the manager that gets us back in the Prem.

But we’re not tactically good enough. There’s no Plan B, no fluidity and the patterns of play are atrocious. Get it out wide and swing crosses in is prehistoric thinking in terms of modern football.

Sadly I don’t think he’s the type of manager to pull off the major changes needed to get us back on equal footing with the best teams in this league.

Would love us to get Henrik Rydstrom from Malmo. Possessional football that is attack focused and forwards love playing in.

In contrast to what seems to be the MR ethos I immediately liked what the new manager at Norwich said about his approach and identity which means going out to dominate the opposition, play unrelenting fast football to feet with technical players. It kind of happened against Wolves but since then we seem to be lacking that kind of motivation and direction.

Thanks, no a routine medical in July found I had a malignant tumour in the kidney. I thought they could cut the tumour out but the right kidney has to go.
