Robins has to go… (3 Viewers)

I agree on the flat feeling, something feels different about this poor start than our others. I remember coming away from Preston last season not feeling as bad as I do about the team now. Maybe just higher expectations, but maybe something more.

I think my worry is we may not get a couple of transfer windows. I expect Sheaf to leave this summer, and if we have an average/poor season I think the likes of Wright, MVE, Simms and probably others will be angling for a move too.

From Robins comments it also doesn't feel to me as if he knows what the problem is.

Getting behind the team is always the answer I guess, gets harder and harder to spend £££ every weekend on them though.
We’ll be there at Preston, personally think it could get very toxic with another bad performance.

My big concern is that aside from Leeds, we haven’t really faced any of the fancied teams yet.

I don't want robins to be sacked but I think it's crazy people don't think another manager couldn't get a tune out of these current players. Can't say they are all shit recruitment.

I dont want players that have downed tools for 1 manager to suddenly start playing for his replacement.
They can fuck off.
2 hours a day training and full commitment on a match day, not too much to ask from this fucking Shower of fannies.
We could have played fadz centre mid, ohare wing back and hamer up front and they have performed better than these cunts because they're not fucking gobshites.

No way , the bloke has got us to the verge of something special , we will be ok , give him time ! Does make me laugh on here the bedwetters but majority of fans were there singing his name today and Tues night clearly got the backing of the true fans , I think people on here are very forgetful of where we were ! I for one will never call for his head as I remember St Andrews and Northampton !
The verge of what?

I don't think it's just downing tools though. Tactically we can get more out of them

Genuinely debating binning that game off

It's like your old best mate you fell out with cus he didn't like your wife, then shagging your wife and you've gotta watch the whole sorry epsiode
So far ahead of the feeble replacements we have I imagine they’ll have a sense of embarrassment when the 5th goal goes in

Dovin must be delighted he joined us

As does Bassette, he must be shit If he can't get any game time after watching that shit show.

Mark Robins has a habit destroying a Strikers confidence. 😡

But they were motivated against Spurs, but then not against Swansea, motivated against Blackburn and then not Sheffield Weds.

More points to the players surely doesn't it?

Robins is picking a side that was well up for it the game before and then they fail to deliver.

Doesn't make any sense. Why would they be motivated, then not motivated? Then Motivated again.

fair points

I completely agree

However, the problem comes back to who signed these players?

Clearly our results have been poor but MR has consistently been a great manager over the years that he has been with us. I refuse to believe that he has suddenly become a bad manager overnight.

If we release him the chances are that his replacement will either be a rookie, which could work but is a gamble, or someone who has been sacked by another club following a series of poor results.

I'd have Edwards here

See what I mean!

I’m not saying that MR should have a job for life but I do think that he should be given more time to turn things around.

Nonsense

Regardless of whether he should go now or not, Mark Robins has been one of, if not the best manager in our history.

The only players who had confidence destroyed by him were shite to start with

Name some of these strikers he’s ’destroyed’, because from what I can see we’ve had more high scoring strikers under Robins than most eras before- McNulty, Godden, Simms & Wright got plenty last year, and of course Gyokeres. Lack of ability to score isn’t the same as being “destroyed” by Robins

Completely disagree with the above idea. But when I read this was reminded of Tyler Walker when he started to score and then was dropped immediately afterwards. Think it was Blackburn?

When you say started to score you mean one goal. Subsequent events would suggest Robins was bang on with his assessment of him.
