Robins has to go… (12 Viewers)

Anyone who thinks Robins could be on the way out anytime soon is completely deluded. May as well rip up your season tickets now, because your in for severe disappointment if you want him gone.

You don’t get to spend £45m on players and end up in a Championship relegation battle. No club owner would stand for that.

King won’t have the same attachment to Robins as us.

Reading recent threads gives the impression that so many on here don't watch football or take note of anything that happens outside CCFC.

Whether you agree with MR being removed or not the possibility of it happening is by no means a stretch.

Sheaf is an extremely poor captain. When you have a player like him being club captain it isn't a surprise that we stand weak in the grand scheme of things.

It's fucking laughable that some of the cucks on here were quoting him as worth 25 million and Premier League bound. The most overrated player I've seen at the club for a long time. Today a shining example. Pathetic really.
Who would you pick as captain instead? Genuinely, I don’t see any other obvious choices unless you want to burden Josh Eccles with more responsibility. And he looks like someone carrying the world on his shoulders at the moment.

Nonsense. You hate Wilson and it clouds your judgement.
I don’t hate any player, I just don’t rate him.

He could have done better for both goals, especially the first, he clearly thought it was going wide. For the second he dithered coming out and made it easier for them.

There’s a reason why Dovin has only played around 40 league games less than Wilson in his entire career yet is 10/11 years younger.

Didn’t you say the same about Jacob Murphy?

It’s tiresome our signings taking a season to get up to speeds. I mean, for what we’ve spent we should be getting some players that slot in and start putting in some performances from the off.

We needed experience you’re absolutely right, we failed to get that in, that’s on the recruitment team and robins. The manager would have fed to the recruitment team what we needed.

We need some fresh eyes at the club, things are stale. Some big calls need to be made immanently.
I think both Robins and the recruitment team know/knew we needed players with experience.

I would pick Jacob Murphy as captain.

In all seriousness, I mean this is the problem, how many leaders have we got? I look at the team and don't see many players I would want to back me up in a scrap, or guide us through a tough spell in a game. We are so weak.

I don’t see any leaders. Kitching was Captain at Barnsley yet shows no leadership qualities whatsoever

I think people are fed up with the excuses now, there were always reasons why we might underachieve, pitch, squad depth tiredness etc etc

There are no excuses now, the slow starts are unacceptable with the money we’ve spent. The pitch is great, we’ve built a squad and got the depth he was asking for. I think most people who know abit about the game know that we’ve regressed, despite spending what we have.

To be fair, I’m seeing comments about ‘the money spent’ and I’ve peddled that recently so I checked the records.

We’ve sold £40M worth of talent and brought in less. If we had spent £30-40M without sales you can then understand the “we’ve spent all this money” but we haven’t, we’ve sold talent and brought new players in and net balance is green. It’s not really a valid argument.

what is a valid argument is whether or not we’ve recruited well enough and/or is the mgmt team getting a tune of them

Maybe it's hard to show leadership when you're playing at a level you're finding it difficult at.

Or maybe it's just because he's a prick as others have alluded to.

I said at the start of the season when AV went that, it was like Cloughie losing Peter Taylor, that if it Ain't Broke Don't Fix it, and that MR might be gone by Xmas and under his own steam at that. Well, everyone on here tore into me.
I'm an oldie and I've been around the block a few times. There is not one person in that dressing room who is capable of taking charge of a chook raffle since Fadz left.
If MR goes, and I believe he will now unfortunately, then I wouldn't be at all surprised that in his next club he will hook up with AV again, and that club will have success.

I’m finding it hard to like any of our players apart from Eccles. He looks like he gives a fuck, the rest just hide when the going gets tough. Something drastic needs to change whether it’s Robins changing their mindsets or someone else

Eccles is the only player that doesn’t hide. The rest go into hiding when they don’t get their own way. We have paid money for a group of players with a weak mentality
Yes I’d take back my comment, 10 players hiding and Eccles trying to carry several around him.

This team is a house of cards. Though a standard deck isn’t meant to have jokers.

It pisses me off that professional footballers don't have the right mindset! What the fuck is wrong with them?
But clearly mentality is a huge issue.

It’s questionable if Sheaf really is a leader. We’re in a situation where we have no leaders in the squad.
On yesterday’s evidence he disappeared when he needed to set an example for the others. Though aside from Eccles who else do you give the armband to?

Recruiting only young prospects has left the team imbalanced not only in terms of positions but also experience.

This spent £45m really is nonsense. It suggests we’re just stockpiling talent. Players have gone out as well as come in. My reading of it is that we’ve made one recruitment error - Torp. But that’s the one we really needed to work.

I see it in games, if things don’t go their own way they start arguing amongst themselves. Apart from Eccles, no one else seems prepared to roll their sleeves up and fight their way back into it. As soon as Wednesday equalised we all knew the script. There seems to be a complete breakdown of communication between the players.

Whatever Robins and the coaches work on in training clearly isn’t being translated on the pitch on match days. We are incapable of producing any consistency. How can the same group perform so well against Blackburn and then put in an abject display like they did yesterday?

Robins needs to up his game too. Too often he’s being out thought by the opposing manager
