Robins has to go… (1 Viewer)

This spent £45m really is nonsense. It suggests we’re just stockpiling talent. Players have gone out as well as come in. My reading of it is that we’ve made one recruitment error - Torp. But that’s the one we really needed to work.
Think more than one have been errors to be frank

You don’t get to spend £45m on players and end up in a Championship relegation battle. No club owner would stand for that.

King won’t have the same attachment to Robins as us.

Which Championship relegation battle? Are you stupid. You think we're in a relegation battle at the start of October.

Reading recent threads gives the impression that so many on here don't watch football or take note of anything that happens outside CCFC.

Whether you agree with MR being removed or not the possibility of it happening is by no means a stretch.

The possibility of it happening anytime soon really is a stretch, regardless of the massive overreaction by a section of tiny brained fans.

Other teams have strangely found money to spend our windfall was not in isolation!

I doubt King thinks the same as you. It’s a results business in his eyes and he will want to see a return on the investments, not going to happen with club currently languishing in 20th. I hope Robins turns it around but he will have to do it quick

The more I'm hearing, the more I believe the problem is with King rather than Robins.

If King is the problem, bringing a new manager in isn't going to make any difference.
We are crying out for a couple of experienced players in this squad. May as well have kept Kelly

He didn’t rate Raheem Sterling or O’hare and wasn’t keen on Maddison. He’s just a poster who goes on drunken rants these days and is best ignored. Shame as he used to be able to sensibly debate his nonsense

I've always rated Maddison highly. If you're going to troll at least make it a bit believable.

King isn't picking the team for him or refusing to respond to opposition tactics and only doing like for like subs.

I tend to agree that King is the bigger architect of this mess BUT:

1. Nobody is going to sack King. Kings existence is not a variable in this equation, whereas the manager/head coach is.
2. A new manager MAY be more tactically aware and get more out of the squad than Robins, even with a ham fisted owner.

Been saying this for ages and I get crucified for my 'agenda' glad people are waking up to it now, although the team and Robins suffering for it isn't how I hoped it would be

If that is true then we are in the shit. If the manager says we need a certain player then you let the manager make that decision. I am starting to doubt King, something feels very off about him

It is true

I stated I saw the text messages and again got laughed at.

King flat out refuses any player that won't 'fit the model '

I said back in Jan he wont do loans, again got laughed at, which has now since rung true

If Saddles is right, Robins wanted to bring James in and King said no.
MR: What if we do go all the way with Stamenic but we want a little more with Alan Browne?

King: Don’t usually do free transfers…but I judge everything on its individual merits so we’ll cross that when we come to it.

King: Oh and if you do go all the way with Stamenic, and you expect me to sign Browne afterwards, make sure Forest haven’t signed him. It’s sort of a rule.

It’s such a shortsighted way of thinking. We had Gyokeres on loan and we turned it into a permanent deal and have made a mint from it. Doyle, McNally and Norton-Cuffy were crucial in helping us get to the playoff final. It’s ridiculous thinking

It's quite simple really,MR wants a payoff and King don't want to give it, now we're left with a stink!

On yesterday’s evidence he disappeared when he needed to set an example for the others. Though aside from Eccles who else do you give the armband to?

Recruiting only young prospects has left the team imbalanced not only in terms of positions but also experience.
This is King's 'model' though.

Yep - Form, results and position would suggest so.

Better let everyone know that 8 points off the play offs puts you in a relegation battle. I've said it before, you're all just feeding off each others negativity because you can't fathom an original thought. A string of 2 wins and most will have u-turned and be giddy with joy.

I question his verdicts on players but think he's got better at debating over time personally

If that happens this season let’s revisit this. Though even Andy Thorn’s doomed 2012 team managed back to back wins at some point in the campaign.

Genuine question, are you watching the games and witnessing the level of performance? We’ve been outplayed at home in 3 of our 5 home games and have been outplayed in all of our away games bar the first half at Watford.

We're not in a relegation battle yet and it's still early days but it seems to me, and plenty of others, that there's something deeply wrong within the club at the moment.

I don't think people are feeding off each other but just reacting to what they're seeing with their own eyes.

I could be wrong, I'm normally the one posting posts like the one you've put up that I'm replying to but I genuinely think the issues are bigger this year.

I sincerely hope I'm wrong.

You don't know what he thinks, that's the point. Yet this forum is still full of "experts" with an inside scoop on the club. Saddlebrains is throwing out conspiracy theories left right and centre for christ sake, and everyone's lapping it up because they want to believe that the clubs going to shit, to fit the narrative that Robins being pushed out is inevitable.

Doesn’t take a genius to work out the new ingredient is King. We sign one type of player. The logical result of that is you end up with a young team. That translates to what we are seeing in the field. Lack of game management, inexperience and lack of leadership. The best teams have a mix. We’re (King) actively pursuing a policy that goes against that.

Eccles is the only player that doesn’t hide. The rest go into hiding when they don’t get their own way. We have paid money for a group of players with a weak mentality
Should have bought a second yellow in the lead up to their winner. I know - hindsight an all that, but a one game ban for an undoubted point - fair trade for me at the moment.
I wonder if that's been plaguing his mind since 5pm yesterday?

Who would you pick as captain instead? Genuinely, I don’t see any other obvious choices unless you want to burden Josh Eccles with more responsibility. And he looks like someone carrying the world on his shoulders at the moment.

the issue is whoever is captain will only get buy in from those in his ‘group’ and Sheaf, being on the periphery, is probably the best choice in one respect, but also not, and to be honest I don’t think it matters who you pick, you won’t get the full team to buy in if there are so many divides…

things aren’t right at all behind the scenes, and to be fair to Robins a lot of the hard work he has done galvanising the club, fans, team etc is being picked apart by others, and yet he will probably be the fall guy

I admire your outrageous positivity - I'll give you that.
