Robins has to go… (1 Viewer)

You don't know what he thinks, that's the point. Yet this forum is still full of "experts" with an inside scoop on the club. Saddlebrains is throwing out conspiracy theories left right and centre for christ sake, and everyone's lapping it up because they want to believe that the clubs going to shit, to fit the narrative that Robins being pushed out is inevitable.

You can say that, but what Saddle says lines up with what we are seeing with our own eyes. Poor signings. No loans. Not addressing the obvious lack of experience. Crap coaches. Players at each others throats it not trying.

I do think that we didn't set up for the opposition yesterday, and that's been happening a lot. He put out the same team as against Blackburn, I imagine because that team won so "might as well try same again".

to be fair, I have no issue with that (putting out the same team) and the team he put out should have beaten Wednesday yesterday, but once we conceded and early into the second half you could clearly see the confidence completely drained out of the players and worry set in, coupled with the fact we have no plan B, and / or Robins refuses to change things up, and we were always going to be hanging on to a point

It’s such a shortsighted way of thinking. We had Gyokeres on loan and we turned it into a permanent deal and have made a mint from it. Doyle, McNally and Norton-Cuffy were crucial in helping us get to the playoff final. It’s ridiculous thinking
King has zero knowledge about football and doesn’t seem to be the master negotiator that his sycophants claim.

Posting in Bold isn't going to make me believe Saddlebrains any more than I do now.

Wow. Are you 5 years old? This new generation of super fans who joined "the journey" in the last 3 years are really odd.

Feel free to insult me if it makes you feel better, but it won’t improve the situation

No, you've made the point perfectly. No one knows what's going to happen, yet the general consensus on this forum is that he's on the way out, with comments being made that he has one game left. There is no counter argument on here, just people circling rumours and saying he needs to go.
Not quite true it's been suggested by Saddle that it was two matches to save himself, convenient Fool 🤔
Possibly one other person has previously prior to this episode raised the prospect that it's possibly not King's MO at all?

Because that's their opinion. Some are just being crybabies but some may genuinely want a change and they are entitled to that even if we don't agree personally

Not an insult, saying if we continue losing we will be relegated, is the logic of a child. Try something with some thought behind it.

You’re saying there is nothing to worry about.
I’m saying that unless something changes, we will go down (it’s simple mathematics)

So what are you expecting to change?

Not bothered at all with what opinions people have about Robins, and whether he should stay or go. The snowballing of this "Robins is definitely on the way out" talk is annoying me.

how is this the logic of a child?? it’s simple mathematics - we have been in relegation form since April, if we carry on this way we will go down, 100%….

Seems since Dennis left then Aidy we have been swirling downhill - new coaches not cutting the mustard and performance director stuff takes a season to have any effect 🥲

Better let everyone know that 8 points off the play offs puts you in a relegation battle. I've said it before, you're all just feeding off each others negativity because you can't fathom an original thought. A string of 2 wins and most will have u-turned and be giddy with joy.
Doesn’t one point off 22 place put you in a relegation battle.

Repetitive! just not suited to the modern approach is it,or is it,in league 3 or 4 possibly? This football revolution is quite painful to watch isn't it?

If he went FULL CAPITALS, would that swing it?
I think bold and going FULL CAPS is one step away from a declaration of war, isn't it?
Not for me to go all Boutros Boutros Ghali but I'm appealing unreservedly for us all to keep this thread to just a level of verbal sparring.
Peace out.

Can we put this idea to bed that we’ve not spent any money and ‘brought in less’

How many players have come in that we’ve paid money for VS gone out we sold for?

If we sold 2, 40million pound players (hamer and gyok), then why didn’t we just spend 40 million on 2 players again? If we did do that, then I would agree we’ve not strengthened, but we didn’t, we spent money on other areas.

End of the day, we reinvested the profits from two players and have nothing to show for it, bar one at the moment.

but we haven’t spent £45 million have we?

No that's the logic of a child as is predicting relegation if we continue to amass the same points per game.
So where do you predict we will finish if we continue to get the same points per game for the rest of the season (struggled with the use of the word “amass” in this context”?

That's not what was said, the statement was that we're in a relegation battle now. No point posting if you're going to selectively reinvent what's been said, it's a waste of time and pointless discussion.

In the bottom three, probably bottom.

amass

verb

gather together or accumulate (a large amount or number of material or things) over a period of time.
"he amassed a fortune estimated at close to a million pounds"

What’s frustrating and equally worrying is that we’re being ‘out coached’ in our defeats.

Considering we now have the most club coaches that we’ve ever had and access to a plethora of media to actually scout clubs and prepare-we seem woefully underprepared in most of our fixtures.

Norwich, Swansea, Leeds, Weds and even Stoke have all had a plan which has made our team look like chumps.

Yesterday not only did we look devoid of work rate, passion and effort we again didn’t have any patterns of play or tactical nous.

So why is this?

We just don’t know-could be that the players are ignoring instructions or that there’s too many voices and we have no clear tactics.

Whatever it is-it’s a very poor watch.

Danny Murphy made a point on MoD a couple of weeks ago about a Prem side. He said that when players don't know what they're supposed to be doing, it makes them look as if they're not trying

Perhaps (assuming it doesn't anyway) they all need a massive team meeting where everybody - players and coaches - can get their gripes out, sort out who's supposed to be doing what, and what the plan is going forward. I don't agree that you should lead by committee, the buck stops with Robbins, but he needs to know where everybody stands and what his options are to turn this around and get these people working as a unit.

Wright - 9m
Simms - 8m
MvE - 3.5
Rudoni - 4
EMC - 4.5
Kitching - 4.5
Thomas - 2
Dovin - 1.2
Saka - 1.2
Torp - 1.5
Bassette - 2.5
BTA - 2.5

I’m sure I’m forgetting a couple.

And we didn’t get £45m for Vik and Gus we got £32m.

Those Wright and Simms figs are including all add ons which there’s no way they’ve met. You can take 6m off those.
