Yeah, we thought it was going to be and I think we were expecting Thomas and Kitching to be better this year, being more settled.

Thought Binks was going to improve things too.

Far too many mistakes happening though, that lead to goals.
Quite hard for Thomas and Kitching to be settled when the back 4 changes every week. They didn’t even start the season together.

Spoke to someone I know tonight. He is close friends with someone who plays for the U21s. He wouldn’t tell me which player for obvious reasons.
Basically he said Viveash was sacked as quite few senior players made official complaints in writing about Viveash’s training methods and the way he spoke to them in training. They found his style too archaic and not in line with the modern professional game. None of the complaints came from any of the old guard, I.e Allen, Kelly, Godden etc , but rather the recruits from last summer.

The players basically got their own way and this modernised coaching set up was devised from that point on.

We always have bad starts though.
Only for the last two years, before that we went top of the championship beating Peterborough, Last two years we had good reasons to struggle with the start. Not sure we can justify this bad start by using them.

Would have been nice to appoint coaches who'd actually won things with their methods

This bunch of fucking players. Hope they’re happy. Wankers.
What’s going to be worse is they’re gonna be totally different players when they inevitably get Robins the sack.

the ability is there. Application at times appears not to be. Unfortunately you have get rid of the players or get rid of the manager.. the cheapest and easiest option is always the one taken

Fine, give him the paycheck then and stop fucking about, I reckon the ones that have caused this will be outta here by the end of the season whatever?

They’re safe whatever happens. Most still got almost 3 years to run on their contracts, some even more. MR though has put 7 years into putting this club back on the map and can be dispensed with in the blink of an eye.

He has made mistakes this season for sure, but he’s also being let down by so many others.

“Oh I come from Everton reserves/Turkey/some bumfuck farmers league/fucking Barnsley and am barely out of nappies in football terms but I don’t like how this guy who built the club I play for from virtually nothing and worked with some of the best young players in the country talks to me in training”

Grow up.

They may not have liked it but it was by and large working for them. Whereas now....

Be careful what you wish for.

The latest betting odds, after our defeat on Saturday, have us finishing 9th which is two places lower than at the start of the season. I reckon this is about right.

If it turns out this way it is a little disappointing but hardly disastrous.

More than likely, but that’s how football has been at the upper echelons for years now. Rightly or wrongly.

They’re safe whatever happens. Most still got almost 3 years to run on their contracts, some even more. MR though has put 7 years into putting this club back on the map and can be dispensed with in the blink of an eye.

What you got to remember is Robins has given us the fans 7 great years. He was never King’s man.

like you said - Robins has been let down, but ultimately when it comes to it, it’s never the players that get jacked, and when the players aren’t on the same wavelength as the manager - it’s always the manager that gets shafted.

Be interesting to see what happens when we inevitably get the annual dicking by Preston

Couldn’t agree more. MR has been the best manager in my lifetime ( only Gordon Milne comes close). If these players end up getting him sacked by an owner who openly admits knew little or nothing about football, then they can f?@k o”&!—-

MR has dragged this club up from the basket case it was under previous managers and despite SISU, Birmingham, lack of funds, best players being sold etc etc. Sure the club has spent the Vik/Gus money ( was that all down to MR?) but compare that to the clubs coming down each year with parachute payments. Everyone recognises that the Championship is the most competitive league in England but our owner expects -us to be challenging 3 out of 5 years and some people lap it all up and even create a song for him! FFS!

As for all these noisy ‘fans’ on here wanting him gone, how many were here 6 or 7 years ago? 6 months ago he was revered now he is like a leper in some peoples eyes. In my view he deserves so much more from some fans but more so, from the players.

Several of the current players frustrate the hell out of me including Simms, Wright and Kitching - they need to take a really hard look at themselves - wankers.

Rant over…… for now.

Didn't anyone tell them to man up etc? The players involved really hold that much power at the club that they more or less helped bring in all the new coaching staff?

Don't think I've seen anyone on here actively wishing MR gone who are happy about it. The consensus amongst the "out" crowd seems to be "with a heavy heart".

Agree on the players completely. Bunch of spineless c(@*ts a lot of them and regardless of whatever happens between now and the end of the season we should look to start clearing them out.

I am in the robins out camp and been a season ticket holder for the last 30 years.

like many posters have said it will be a sad day and I’m forever grateful but since April we have been appalling and you cannot deny that.

good things have to come to an end I’m afraid.

Bowing to pressure from the summer signings in the first place was a huge error, IMO.
