Robins has to go… (1 Viewer)

Didn't anyone tell them to man up etc? The players involved really hold that much power at the club that they more or less helped bring in all the new coaching staff?
🤣 ffs some of you are stuck in the Stone Age

Imagine the response to an official complaint about someone’s professional behaviour in their job being “man up”.

If true it’s the right move. Try and fix it with a known quantity first. If no improvement by December might be time for a change of you’re Doug.

You see it's not that i want Robins gone necessarily, its that i 100% think we're now at the point where this group needs some fresh eyes on it and some fresh ideas. Hopefully a new assistant is enough, if not then yeh i agree, i'd be getting that Xmas shortlist ready.

Spoke to someone I know tonight. He is close friends with someone who plays for the U21s. He wouldn’t tell me which player for obvious reasons.
Basically he said Viveash was sacked as quite few senior players made official complaints in writing about Viveash’s training methods and the way he spoke to them in training. They found his style too archaic and not in line with the modern professional game. None of the complaints came from any of the old guard, I.e Allen, Kelly, Godden etc , but rather the recruits from last summer.

The players basically got their own way and this modernised coaching set up was devised from that point on.
If this is true then I have lost all respect for the new players.
As far as I am concerned they can all fuck off, and take sick note Sheaf with them.
Would rather support a team of battlers, fighting to finish mid table.

Interesting development.
Presume this is someone from outside the current set up.
I really hope this brings some good fortune and helps MR to turn things around - and everyone currently in the camp gets on board.

so in other threads theres too many cooks, in this one you want another as an assistant manager.
all is well on SBT

I've been one of the ones most vocally calling for one.
Robins has always had one now he hasn't
That's a mistake as far as Im concerned.

Mmmm, seems a bit odd if true about a new assistant manager. “We want to go in a new direction” in terms of the coaching staff/structure etc was the line was it not?
Now we are reverting to type again. 🤔

It wasn't just the new players. Another ITK scoop, but Sheaf was one of the driving forces behind the coup of Viveash. At this point, who would you rather have around Ryton? It's a sad state of affairs.

This is in line with what I’ve been told from a friend and that he was a ‘complicated character’.

To add to what you’ve said, it’s been mentioned that he had pretty toxic relationships with players and staff. The whole nature of his departure points to something egregious behind the scenes.

If it was just a case of a few players not getting on with him, I’d struggle to believe MR would hang AV out to dry.

I fake it all with a pinch of salt usually but on this specific case my mate told me about AV’s departure at Ipswich (H) last season.
