Otis I usually never get drawn into rubbish like this But I did nt misquote you as anyone can see you re wrong but live in your own world if you think thats what you meant. I ll leave it to others to determine who is right on this occassion, everyone will have there own view

We're conceding at a rate of nearly 2 goals a game in the league. In that 10 game review we were dubbed "Defensive Pushovers" Wood has been pretty much ever present, of course he is entirely blameless

Of course you mis-quoted me you lemon! :claping hands:

You are saying I said something I simply did not say.

Are you a spin doctor perchance? ;)

Not the point Stupot, Wood is nt blameless he s part of the defence but to blame him in particular is nr right, he s part of the problem but better than most |

Let's face it, we have too many players making too many mistakes at the back.

It happened last year and continues this.

No one has said he is solely to blame, just that there are question marks over his performances like others , so questioning whether he should have the captaincy. He is better the most of the defenders but he's still a disappointment and is easy to see why he hasn't made the CB berth his own over the last 2 seasons.

The fact is there isn't a standout candidate for the captaincy

This is what makes me think we should just give it to one of the youngsters, like Clarke/Cameron/Thomas. Give it to them on an interim basis and make it known (as he has done) that once one of the senior players steps up to the plate, they will be given the honour.

Simple solution: Leave the armband in a room with all the first team squad in it-and leave them in there until a captain emerges with it.

Or, y'know, the manager could just bloody pick one.

Captains make mistakes like any other player, but they don't let that stop them leading on the field.

Wood is probably the best choice at the moment, though this is partly influenced by my liking a centre back as captain.

Fleck disappears too much.

Need someone who leads by example and is a visible force on the pitch.

Who the hell that is I have no idea. Only McGoldrick has given anything like consistent levels of performance and lead by example. I wouldn't give it to him though.

Think the answer is fook knows!
