worst part of all that was in pretty much every interview from the summer onwards Robins was practically pleading with supporters to allow time to get the new signings in and playing how he wanted but people wouldn't listen to him.Still boils my piss people were clambering for him to go just 3 months ago
Just like he knows Ohare will be gone unless we go up.Listened to it brilliant, he knew Gus and vik were leaving on the coach back after the play off final, that puts all the bullshit to bed then, loves it here, plenty more to do, makes you realize how daft the fans are who wanted him gone after our poor start, knows exactly what he’s doing, we’re in good hands

Great listen.....thank you for calling it out to us all @harvey098Was just listening to radio whilst driving and without announcement they bought Robins onto the show who gave a really interesting interview.
Think he comes on about 8.29pm
Took some time away from this place earlier in the season. Heard nothing about Robins Out in that time. It’s a few knee-jerkers, 99% of fans wouldn’t have wanted it. Social media just amplifies the minority calls though.Really enjoyed that. He’s a voice of reassurance and comfort. Couldn’t imagine listening to anyone else talking about the club at this point.
We’re incredibly lucky to have him. The MR out narrative is cyclical and it’ll be back again next year. Disappointing aspect this time around was that a lot of decent posters bought into it.
Side note - not sure if it’s just me and/or the platform I used to listen, but how bloody hard was it to find the start of his interview!
To be fair whilst there was people like myself questioning Robins -nobody (that’s those at the ground, nor the people above - King) showed dissentworst part of all that was in pretty much every interview from the summer onwards Robins was practically pleading with supporters to allow time to get the new signings in and playing how he wanted but people wouldn't listen to him.
Every thread on here would have sarcastic comments about 'time to gel' and people saying we were going to be relegated.
Just think where we would have been with Kenny

Agreed. While Jimmy Hill was brilliant you'd argue that Robin's tenure will have achieved more (Hill left immediately after promotion anyway) especially in the context of the financial imbalance, gone from average gates of less than 10k to 25k. It is phenomenal.I honestly don’t think so. It’ll be like a Dyche or Howe situation at Burnley and Bournemouth respectively. He either takes us as far as he can and he gets sacked after a period of managed decline or he walks because he’s taken us as far as he can.
If he takes us back up to the Prem and keeps us there, he’ll have cemented himself as our best ever manager. Older cohorts of fans may disagree, but there isn’t an argument against it.
I think he pretty much answered the question, he genuinely didn't seem interested in other jobs. I imagine any approach would involve sounding him out first and from his answer he'd shoot them down pretty quick.I don’t know if anyone carried on listening after MR left but they were saying in the studio that it’s a mystery between football people why he hasn’t been given a shot at the prem.
Pigs head. It was the incumbent chairman?Good listen. He was very, very keen to share the praise (which is a good indicator of good leadership). Viveash, Lawrence, Austin and Boddy all mentioned by name.
Clearly an all round mensch but let’s not take every single word as gospel truth…
For instance I don’t remember anyone throwing a pig’s head into the pitch in an anti-SiSU protest. Tennis balls, plastic pigs, some home made banners from bed sheets but no pig’s heads.
Thing is, take the bullshit away and both of the are still city fans at heart!Oh so what a surprise Dawkins and GIMOC were talking utter bollocks about Hamer
Apparently said Hamer told him he wanted to leave on the coach home from Wembley.
Apparently said Hamer told him he wanted to leave on the coach home from Wembley.
Thing I find strange is that Hamer telling him he wanted to leave straight away, how come we didn't have the irons in the fire for his replacement as we must have known it was coming?
I know deals can end up not going through for a variety of reasons, but to end up taking a punt on a loan of Ayari as a replacement seems pretty poor if we knew he was going all along.
Whataboutism coming in 5, 4, 3, 2….Just think where we would have been with Kenny

It was quite obvious that Gyokeres and Hamer wanted to play at a higher level than the championship. A football players career is short. I said at the time if we went up Hamer would most probably stay. Didn't expect him to have said about leaving on the way home from the game though. But those who shout the loudest always know better. Then they blend into the background when shown to be wrong.Shows how much the clingers on know, if Gus wanted to go after Wembley.
All the stories about wages etc, just people who have had their noses put out of joint by a new owner clamping down on leaks and special treatment.

The same is happening now with O'Hare. It's quite obvious he is ambitious. But to some It's all about the money. My guess has been the same as with Hamer. We go up he probably stays. We don't go up he leaves. If he took another contract with us it would take him towards the end of his career.
We don't need to get to the Prem and then stay there to see Robins as our best manager. I can't see what the debates are about because no manager in my lifetime has taken over our club in such a bad state. Everything he has had thrown at him has just made him more determined.I honestly don’t think so. It’ll be like a Dyche or Howe situation at Burnley and Bournemouth respectively. The difference being that Gyo will have made it clear for most of the season that unless promoted he was off and had plenty of options. Hamer had nobody interested until Sander Berge left Sheff Utd in mid August and they had to sign a replacement quick.I get all of that ‘short career’ and ‘play at a higher’ level stuff but fuckme.. there’s also a place for decorum. I mean, they were on the fucking bus after just losing the playoff final on penalties talking about fuckingoff
I don’t expect loyalty but a bit of respect would be nice.

This is it really.Enjoy the good times with Robins. Because when he finally does leave us it will leave us with a gap that will be very difficult to fill.
