Birmingham had 6’7” Kevin Francis back in the day. He’d cause opposition management headaches whenever he played.
I remember going to a Cov reserves vs Derby reserves game (1990?), and when i saw Kevin Francis come on the pitch, i couldnt believe my eyes...he must have been 21/22 ? , but was massive lol

A totally fucked Gyokeres, is still better than Walker!
We were finished as an attacking force once Gyo went off, we need to find a suitable partner for him, because it certainly aint Waghorn.
On Saturday I thought they combined well. Gyokeres picked Waghorn out a few times with leading to half chances / attacking moves; and Waghorn was getting into good positions. I think a fit Godden alongside Gyokeres may be the best partnership but Waghorn isn't a bad option going by the last match.

It’s not a partner we need for Gyo, it’s someone to play his role when he’s not in the pitch.

Godden and Walker and Waghorn (all decent on their day) are players that need to play off someone.

We have no stand in for Gyo, and not a huge transfer pot which is why I’ve been banging on about Biamou and a freak of nature from non league.

I remember him coming in as a sub in a first team match, probably that season when I was a junior sky blue. To me, a kid, he seemed huge and caused all kinds of problems. Wags on the kop we’re singing about “change us our light bulbs” or something.

We have got four strikers already. They are all capable of fighting for the shirt. The concept of bringing another one in, especially unproven from non-league is absolutely baffling to me.

Not been paying attention. I’ve questioned bringing in Waghorn, 31, no resale value, when we’ve got Walker, Godden, Bright, etc. and letting Biamou go when we’ve got no other player with any physical aerial presence.

Hope Gyo doesn’t get injured.

Biamou wasn’t good in the air

Our defence needs strengthening far more urgently than we need a 5th forward
Getting bored now.

I questioned bringing in Waghorn for Biamou when we have players who can play the role.

Baka’s wage could go on a 21 year old who has an outside chance of doing someone because of his unusual height if nothing else. Besides, we leave one up top for defending corners and set pieces. Having a 6 foot nine fella defending corners isn’t, to me, totally crazy.

if you question Waghorn for biamou it’s a bit embarrassing to be fair

Biamou had far more physical presence IMO than Walker / Godden and put himself about more and led the line.

You may disagree, that’s your opinion.

he hasn’t scored a single goal with his head in league football

We have already made two upgrades in that part of the pitch. The defence is hinging on DaCosta if one of the wing backs is injured. We have to use what funds are left on the back and not non league punts
