The league is still very tight and within a month we could be sat right up it ..

That being said I'm sure you will jump back out your box should we Fail to win at boro
I call it as I see it.

Today was night and day to Tuesday night, the better side throughout and created multiple chances. No idea how so much can change in a few days. But we have to follow it up, we’ve been here before against Blackburn and regressed again. We need 4 points from our next two really because then we’ve got 3 really tough fixtures.

This is only one result, one swallow doesn’t make a summer (insert your own cliche here) etc etc, but that match today was exactly what the more measured people were trying to say- it’s there in them & Robins knows what he’s doing. It was always total garbage to be asking for sackings & running polls this early.

I’m not sure you can get ‘Robins knows what he’s doing’ from that result alone - I think he rolled the dice twice, Kitching / Binks didn’t work, then either by luck or judgment Rudoni did - but you are right that the team have got it in them to play like that….

If it continues now then great, but if the next few results show it was less judgment and more luck then there’s even more evidence the team have it but Robins doesn’t

just playing devil’s advocate…

no that’s fair enough of a view- as I said it’s only one match. I am definitely on the “he knows what he’s doing” side but more is needed

I think it's time.

I want to watch a team that have a clear style of play. I want to be able to see on the pitch what they have been working on in training.

Robins isn't a tactical coach. He never has been. That was literally Viveash's job. MR looks tired and bereft of ideas. At this point we're just recycling through old formations trying to find something that sticks. Wouldn't be surprised if he wacks out the box next even though we've got no one to play it.
I agree, we all love robins but he’s lost his mojo I think both parties need a change

Crazy talk. Some people have very short memories. Frustrating start for sure after high expectations. But 12 games in and a window coming up - everything to play for - not interested in destabilizing our club and showing the exit door to one of our best 3 managers of all time. Perhaps get behind the manager and lads - keep united. As did our crowd - excellent today.

Completely understand the loyalty and great reaction today from the players, I feel there is a disconnect with the manager obviously I don’t know why

he’s bought all these players and squad still looks unbalanced

I worry about us on the road we are brittle

robins interviews and selections have been very un robins like, I feel if the right and younger manager is available it’s time for a change

I’m not demanding promotion but it doesn’t feel like a slow start this season it feels like we are where we should be

I hear you covboy. Your points are fair. We all want to be higher.

I would say that Robins has always evolved the team since the dark days of L2 and taken us forward - it's not showing in the results this season so far but I trust he will make the required changes to set us up again. That might be in both the coaching staff and players in the window. I'm in the camp that losing Lawrence unplanned last season was very damaging to us - a top class coach and would love to see him back one day.

But I want Robins as our leader as I know he will set this club up again for success - let's stay together and enjoy seeing Robins do what he does best.

What's funny ?

There's been 3 polls following games recently why not one today ? Doesn't suit the agenda I guess
Why is there not a poll after winning? Because you generally don’t sack a manger after winning.

You do tend to sack a manager after averaging 1 point a game with a top 6 most expensive squad though.

Same manager who has taken us from oblivion to a penalty kick from the promised land?
Same manager who has given me more highs and memories than any other manager in my 47 years of following my beloved club ?
Robins was never under pressure or in danger because what he has done for this club season after season
Who's to say we can't finish in the playoffs or have another cup run
The season isn't determined in October

It's been eerily quiet on here since the fantastic win yesterday. Robins nailed it yesterday and we were superb and even when we were losing, we were still playing very well.

Anyway, there were new threads, saying pretty much the same things, popping up all over the place after Preston and QPR, but now, after what was such a fabulous win yesterday, it's so, so much quieter.

I think for the prosperity and health and longevity of this footballing forum, we need to lose more often.

I'm playing as Coventry City on FC 25 Ultimate Team working towards New Foundations MvE listening to tunes based on chants.

Last track was an oldie, both as a track and a chant, September by Earth, Wind and Fire. Forgot the actual lyrics to the song until now.

Love a three points weekend, me!

If Luton had managed to shut up shop instead of conceding 3 goals then I’m sure many wouldn’t be talking about polls and sackings as “total garbage”. It’s very fine margins but there’s a reason so many people are/were disgruntled before the Luton game. We’ve played one decent game in the last 8/9 where we’ve shown some fight, I hope we continue like this but personally I’m still on the fence about Robins.

One decent game doesn’t automatically excuse the team/management for the woeful shite we’ve had to endure beforehand. If we see a big turnaround in form and play with more courage and intelligence, as per yesterday, then I’m sure the whole fanbase will be fully behind Robins.

To some acting holier than thou, when Robins calls out outside noise he's not simply talking about those criticising him, he's talking about those criticising the players, the setup, everything. So no one is exempt as those have been things to fall back on for the Robins isn't the problem people.
If we suddenly go on a great run I'm not sure what that proves really as I've always felt the squad is good and the pissing about is the issue, sooooo...
Anyway, let's hope this is a turning point, best we've looked all season for sure.

I agree with you. Criticism where warranted is not just ok, it’s important.

it’s the mindless pile ons that were being singled out.

Like Saddlebrains- starts the day by hysterically mocking the line up, then asks for Robins to leave partway through the match, says he’s ’thrown in the towel’, the stupid polls, picking 2 single words from a press conference to complain about- there’s no intelligence to that, there’s nothing meaningful about it. The pile on had started yesterday before a ball was even kicked.

The view that Robins’ job is in danger is just as valid as the view he should stay, I respect that totally. But when either view not backed up with anything apart from childish pile ons & meaningless statements, I don’t think it does anyone any good, it’s pointless.
