I 100% would do if I was being slandered and it could directly affect my professional reputation and finding future employment.
I don’t think anyone doesn’t appreciate all he did for the club.
If he doesn't get them promoted I doubt he'll be there!
They're not known for their patience, I doubt Robins will be afforded any more time than the previous managers.
If he doesn't hit the ground running and make real progress he'll be gone.
When it comes to losing our best players to bigger clubs my experience has been honed over many years, I remember Carr, Mortimer, Lloyd, Dublin, Boateng, Gillespie, Speedie, Babb, Kirkland, Pearce, Wallace, Ferguson and Hutchison all going.
Agreed. And personally I'd of given him more time.I think for me the issue isn't robins , he's shown many times over through different variations of nonsense that he can have us playing well and improving .. be it coaches , stadia , training ground issues , financial issues , ownership issues etc etc
The fact fans can't see that is part of the reason why we all still argue so much
I’d have given him until the end of the season but the poor start (again) did it for him. There’s pressure there that we haven’t had for a very long time. After the Everton game I thought we’d easily be in contention for the playoffs from the start.Agreed. And personally I'd of given him more time.
However there's no denying that the loss of Dennis Lawrence, and the fall out between MR and AV had resulted in us going backwards in terms of on field results...
...Along with some very questionable transfer dealings, and Doug's desire to shake up the non playing staff, and take the club in his own direction.
Maybe (in hindsight) the changes were too many too soon?
Anyway it looked difficult to see how MR could continue under the circumstances, so a parting at this time was probably the best for all.

Give him a clap an sing his name once before kick off. We then beat them 4-0 and send them into the bottom 3. Same as I'd want against any team really
Deity sucks Doug off so I wouldnt worryI do disagree with this considering he leaked the transfer news of King backing Lampard with Experience and Loans and seemingly listening to his new head coach.
Can’t keep saying it, people are human will hear things and get their own opinions on it. If you choose to take a rumor to heart or other people do that’s up to them. Grain of salt for all of them.
Although @Saddlebrains if you could leak a transfer name…
Wouldn’t be surprised if Robins kicked on with Stoke, but Robins and Coventry were not progressing and if anything going backwards. The partnership needed to be broken for the sake of both parties in my opinion.
Can't agree with that, yes we started poorly last season, but there was the belief that it would improve, and it did, to such an extent that we were in the play off race and a cup semi final when DL left.I just said
Last season we had 15 points after 15 games with adi and Lawrence
We sacked robins for being on 15 points after 14 games .
So really the logic of Dennis and adi being the only thing that made robins tick isn't there
The only reason some didn't think it would improve was that we didn't have the same setup .. but all the stats pointed towards an upturn in form at some point and as with Frank since his arrival the easiest fixtures were to comeCan't agree with that, yes we started poorly last season, but there was the belief that it would improve, and it did, to such an extent that we were in the play off race and a cup semi final when DL left.
Can you in all honesty say that the same belief was in the camp this year???
I can't!
I think MR was the head of a very competent management team that worked well together.
Once that was broken up, the writing was on the wall. A bit like Brian Clough and Peter Taylor.
I'm not taking anything away from MR, but it was a joint management team effort imo.
And I don't know if he had much of a say in the new training staff.
From the man who said EMC was total shit .....
But MR dismissal wasn't purely based on results alone, it was his reluctance to recruit a no2 which left him "exposed" according to DK, and you can imagine DK getting frustrated, watching poor performances with no assistant on the horizon despite interviewing strong candidates. And I imagine MR reluctance to embrace Doug's plans didn't help. The only reason some didn't think it would improve was that we didn't have the same setup .. but all the stats pointed towards an upturn in form at some point and as with Frank since his arrival the easiest fixtures were to come

How many other club owners are listening to, and believing, King's monologue about Robins on a CWR fans forum?I 100% would do if I was being slandered and it could directly affect my professional reputation and finding future employment.
Doug said all the number 2s that were interviewed wanted to be number 1s so it sounded like doing didn't want to bring in the 2But MR dismissal wasn't purely based on results alone, it was his reluctance to recruit a no2 which left him "exposed" according to DK, and you can imagine DK getting frustrated, watching poor performances with no assistant on the horizon despite interviewing strong candidates. (That last bit only my opinion)
How many other club owners are listening to, and believing, King's monologue about Robins on a CWR fans forum?
Would suggest far more potential for damage to Robins professional reputation if he decided to get into a back and forth in the press, which to me would be a very unexpected way for Robins to act at the best of times let alone with something like this.
And that's before you even consider the potential for a NDA.
I think you are confusing me with yourself and RO.Deity sucks Doug off so I wouldnt worry
I think you are confusing me with yourself and RO.
I think you preferred it under SISU given your constant anti King posts.

Why would I have sucked off King if I dont like him
Depends how much tbf
He doesn't, and it would appear that MR has taken the pragmatic approach and moved on, and good on him for doing that. I'm sure the challenge of turning things round at Stoke will keep him busy enough, with the added incentive of bettering his old club. He'd surely get far more satisfaction from that than a long-drawn out court case. Why would he need to sue though.
Mark sets out a personal statement saying it’s bollocks and all of Doug’s support would melt away.
Seeing how important he viewed it that he explained it to avoid less attendance and get people back on side, why would he risk it?
As far as I know, MR isn't intending to take legal action, so he obviously doesn't agree. Given his appointment at Stoke, the "stuff" doesn't seem to have affected his reputation unduly. He was coming out with stuff that could have affected Robins’ professional reputation, of course it would be worth taking legal action over.
Form said otherwiseGet to fuck. That opinion makes you sound as switched on as Captain Tom.

Dunno how I feel about it tbh, he doesn’t owe us anything but the “Gutted to leave, I want a break” thing didn’t last very long tbh
Just a weird situation the whole carry on tbh, I’ll be glad when this season over and the new manager can put his own stamp on things and we can just forget about it
Honestly just fed up of the whole carry on tbh, he ain’t blameless in how much of a disaster this season has beenHe said at the University that he was itching to get back , he probably told millwall and hull he wanted a break as he didn't want the jobs

Roll on May and where we can hopefully look forward not backwards
