Robins to Stoke ? (30 Viewers)

No disrespect to any ITK but seems rather sudden that one of the new coaches is the one he wanted all along considering this is the first anyone has mentioned him.

Remember when Chris Ramsey was the only named assistant and he wasn’t even considered?
Also has to be noted that the ITK in question clearly dislikes king and has from the get go

It's like me or you can't say at work ' all the changes brought in by upper management are a load of shit, i don't like it, never wanted it and the new computer system is a pile of wank, they dont know what theyre doing'

What would happen then? 🤷‍♂️
Excepts its not is it.

This isn’t an office or factory. This is a football club.

Robins has relationships with journalists who he can easily feed information to off the record. We see it all the time.

Someone within the City camp leaked that not all of the CCFC exec wanted Lampard. Man United are currently leaking Anti- Rashford stories having suppressed them for 3 years.

The idea therefore that Robins couldn’t possibly find a way of letting fans know that he was unhappy with his backroom set up is silly. Robins didn’t stay silent ( another credible option for him ) he actually openly said they were his choices and he was pleased with them.

One of the things i always liked about Robins is that he seemed a straight talker, no bullshit. Now we are to believe that’s not the case, he openly misled the fans.

So if in the next couple of weeks he comes out and throws Doug under the bus, or Adi will we write it off as more lies from Robins ? No. We will believe him, because most of us believe he’s a straight up sort of guy.

Every single leak is agenda driven. Absolutely no positive leaks, all negative.

I could possibly guess whose nose has been put out.

I do disagree with this considering he leaked the transfer news of King backing Lampard with Experience and Loans and seemingly listening to his new head coach.

Can’t keep saying it, people are human will hear things and get their own opinions on it. If you choose to take a rumor to heart or other people do that’s up to them. Grain of salt for all of them.

Although @Saddlebrains if you could leak a transfer name… 🤣

How come he's managed to get 2 really decent assistants in at Stoke, yet we couldn't find anyone good to come here??
sounds like our illustrious leader has scored the mother of all own goals in sacking MR, and spreading b/s thickly to hide it.
Your theory could be correct. Just as likely he, belatedly, realised that not having a decent assistant wasn’t in his best interests and he’s learnt.

It’s interesting that he is Head coach at Stoke.

Whether King made a mistake in replacing Robins with Lampard we will have to wait and see.

I kinda get why he'd stick with the keeper currently in the position after so much pissing about. It's really not a position you want to piss about with and something that always got on my tits.
Pompey away was the excuse needed to get Dovin in and I would think/hope he's there to stay.

It's been problematic for so long, going back to pre Robins.
Every time we think we've solved it it goes to shit.

Hopefully Dovin is the answer at last.

Joe Murphy was the last decent keeper we had.

Big difference between being able to sue and actually doing it, and that's largely down to how much you want to line the capacious pockets of lawyers. Unless you've got substantial funds yourself, it"s not worth taking legal action over a few fibs.
He was coming out with stuff that could have affected Robins’ professional reputation, of course it would be worth taking legal action over.

I was reading today about the Manchester bombing victims who have just successfully sued that wank stain Richard Hall for saying they were crisis actors.

Got awarded 45k but now have to go after their legal costs separately which run into hundreds of thousands (I appreciate they're very different situations).

But could you be arsed over something which let's be honest, is pretty trivial and could potentially be expensive even if you win?

Especially if its true you've just trousers £750k for your trouble, (if that figure is correct).

I 100% would do if I was being slandered and it could directly affect my professional reputation and finding future employment.

It hasn't affected his future employment though, he's just landed a job where if he fucks up he'll be trousering another golden handshake, nice work if you can get it.

But it didn’t did it, the guy has just walked into a new job. Let’s be honest, outside of this forum & this fanbase nobody gave a toss about what King said. He was never going to sue anybody, and had he have done it would have taken ages and cost him a fortune in legal fees. Why bother?

It’s also possible that Robins has learnt from his mistakes from the way in which he planned the new coaching setup.

If we got promoted this year I would definitely root for robins side to get promoted next year. Don't care if that makes me a pussy etc

If he doesn't get them promoted I doubt he'll be there!
They're not known for their patience, I doubt Robins will be afforded any more time than the previous managers.

If he doesn't hit the ground running and make real progress he'll be gone.

Yes, I know but it doesn’t mean that he couldn’t also have made a mistake.
I think for me the issue isn't robins , he's shown many times over through different variations of nonsense that he can have us playing well and improving .. be it coaches , stadia , training ground issues , financial issues , ownership issues etc etc

The fact fans can't see that is part of the reason why we all still argue so much

I don’t think anyone doesn’t appreciate all he did for the club. I said before that ultimately he’s a victim of his own success.

He literally said himself he planned the coaching structure 🤣🤣

Some of the fan fiction is hilarious, it's like teenage girls writing stories about Harry styles.
I’m trying to find where he said it that he’d instigated it himself - I found a couple of articles where he’s addressed the fact we’ve got new coaches and a new structure and is looking at how it will work etc.
Unless it was a spoken interview.

anyway, it’s up to me whether I believe what Doug said - and I didn’t at the time and still don’t.
Just cos he said it was the truth doesn’t mean i have to believe it. Just didn’t ring true to me.

Of course happy to be corrected if the full ‘true’ story ever comes out which it won’t.

Sure but if we take the start this season as a barometer of his failure under a new coaching team , then how do we assess that we had 1 more point after 14 games than we did after 15 games last season under the lord and saviours viveash and Lawrence that apparantly robins can't work without
