Thing is, managers are very easily forgotten, take Curbishley for example he a miraculous job at Charlton and a decent one at West Ham and never worked again!

If Robins takes too long out he may well become a forgotten man, new blood will come through and the opportunities will dry up

If he wants to get a job like this he needs to strike whilst the iron is hot

A good number of years ago, Robins' brother was done for murdering dogs. His brother then tried to get back in touch with him on the CCFC youtube comments of all places, saying all kinds of personal stuff (I immediately conracted the club who removed the comments and, I assume, blocked the account).

Anyway, the point of bringing this up now, 4 or 5 years after, is to say that if Robins' mother passed, it would ultimately end up bringing the siblings together. The stress of a) the death of a parent, and b) interaction with his estranged and unwell brother would be enough to make anyone lose their marbles. This happening so close to Adi's departure meant it would have taken an inhuman effort to turn the club's fortunes around at the same as dealing with all that. He needs a break. Management can wait.

Hear what you're saying there, for the sake of Mark Robins mental health he needs to keep busy, take his mind off things, getting back into management would help.

On a more footballing note ….. fingers crossed he gets the job & comes back for Kitching , Collins & co ……. Or am I dreaming ?
It sounds like his new club will have a few more fans as well.

I sincerely wish MR all the best wherever he goes but really hope he has decent coaching back up alongside . Without this I think that he is likely to fail .

I love the man, but if he goes to Stoke or WBA, given one is 8 points ahead of us and the other 5 points behind I hope he fucks it!

As for having a decent Coachs aongside him, maybe they'll actually allow him to appoint Chris Ramsay.

Not sure he will take a job with massive expectations, even allowing for a large salary.
Personally think maybe a more local job at say Peterborough or Notts County might suit him to progress from a lower base.

I genuinely don't understand why people think a manager who took a basket case club to 3 top half championship finishes and an FA Cup semi final would be best suited to drop down the leagues.

He's a proven championship manager.
