Our Performance Director started in February. This is one of Dr Roberts' quotes, when she was interviewed by CET.
“I say this to Doug all the time, that we need to make sure that our players are the best conditioned, the best prepared, physically and mentally, for the season ahead."

Since mid-March we have been noticeably flat in our performance levels apart from a few games. It would be harsh to use the end of season downfall to judge her impact, but you would hope that we would have at least started this campaign with some energy and endeavour. However, there has just been a continuation of our end of season apathy.
Maybe in the long term, approaches and practices introduced by her will show some benefits, but performance wise it has been a decline since.
Surprise, surprise…I knew it wouldn’t be long until she got the blame.

Like I said yesterday I think Karen palmer does try to do a special pass from what I watch today midfield was lost so many pass past by our midfield yes only few games we needed a good start to season break come at the right time

Was just so frustrating today. Players didn’t move in or out of possession. When a Norwich player had the ball he has two or three options on it, our players just stand there watching, no one goes to help out, there’s no patterns where a player knows where someone will be if needed. No one dragging players out of position or moving into space to receive the ball. Just basic basic stuff we aren’t doing.
Anticipation in other words!

Can't believe the wet wipes on here, it's like they haven't watched us start slow before 🙄

Yes it's annoying, yes I'd have liked another DM but it's not the first wobble we've had and history tells us that Robins can sort it out.

Turning on the new coaches is mental. It's been 6 games. W3/D1/L2 isn't the end of the world and certainly not a big enough sample to be writing people off.

As for the Adi love in he was here during our shite end to the season too. His first 10 games for us were W4/D1/L5.... Maybe just maybe it takes time to get a team playing 🙄

I think the fact everyone loves him as a person we may slightly inflate his ability. He's decent, but imagine a Haji Wright type player on both sides instead of the predicted stuff Sakamoto brings.
Nah last season he hit a purple spell, defenders hated him, once he gets up to speed if it's that, he'll rip it up, got to get the O'Hare replacement up to speed I think!

Seriously, the reactionary stuff on this thread is unbelievable. Robins is light years ahead of anything we’ve had in the last 2-3 decades. The same conversations were happening last year as Wright and Simms settled. We’ve signed proven players this year who just need a few games. There should be zero panic.
Mad isn't it.

IF we are really struggling at Christmas, down near the bottom 3, then certainly we should seriously be considering MArk Robins' position

But we're not bottom 3 and it's not Christmas.

We're 4 games in.

The doom and gloom is rather OTT have to say. 😂

I’m not sure it’s that, still putting himself about as always. But more subdued going forward.

It’s like they’ve been told to focus loads on getting crosses in the box which isn’t his game.

Fuck knows why they’ve been told to get crosses into the box

slow start like last season isn’t good enough when the expectation is playoffs at the very least and possibly autos, unless you’re happy to turn round at the end of the season and say if only we didn’t start so slowly, AGAIN…

players were bought to iron out that issue, which was apparently down to a mostly brand new team last year, so what’s the excuse this year, and why is it going to be any different this time round? history also tells us start slow and you’re likely to miss out on the playoffs, so why you’re so content with it is unclear….

yes, not bedwetting territory just yet, but it’s very very disappointing when nothing seems to have been learnt from last year

He’s also a target like he was today last year we gave away a penalty away for the follow through today the follow through injures him that seems ok

Agreed. But he didn't hide and still got stuck in.
Which is always a good sign in a player who's suffering a loss of gorm/confidence.
I think he’s been given instructions to keep feeding MVE on the overlap to put crosses in. Which isn’t his game, he’s a classic inside forward who likes cutting in for a shot or to draw players out of position.
