That’s the whole club, I’ve compared playing squad,so we’re both right 😉

No we are not - your link says Tavares earns more than Kitching. Whats the source?

We were really good , should have been about 6-2 .
But would have been a draw but for a last minute back pass, other goals should have been scored IMO, so a little reminder that we were wasteful not clinical enough, I can't remember the match tbf obviously Haji did his work but who else?

To be fair, not sure why people think our wages are a pittance. While they won’t be the highest in the league by a country mile, to attract the players we have our wages will be competitive.

Wonder if our transfer targets for CM were simply too ambitious and the players wouldn’t have come for the wages we could offer. I remember reading we took such a long time with dolvin due to his wage demands.

They all say the same thing ? I’m not lying 😂 the club accounts show 18.5 million for the whole club, I’m comparing player wage bills, kitching was only at Barnsley why would he be on more ?

Their keeper pulled off some great saves , made 2 blinders on the line we should have scored several more .

I agree we were wasteful

I assume you are joking? Again what’s the source of the info? I have asked?

Also where is the other £8 million from?

My source here is companies house for all clubs - the wage website is nonsense and based off pure guesswork.

Since our wage bill of £18.46 million we have sold O Hare and Palmer and every summer signing (including coaching staff) are additions.

you said the upturn in our fortunes was because of king

the fact he came in when we were on the up curve was nothing to do with him and he was fortunate to take over at the same time as our fortunes changed

I don’t agree with that. Any player we sold previously those funds would have been gone and not reinvested, no way in hell would SISU have paid for someone like Wright.
Also SISU would have not held their ground like King did and drive a hard bargain on selling players.
You can’t say King didn’t get us the best price for players and also reinvest that money… that’s down to him

When signed for £4 million compared to a Rochdale reserve? Why indeed

My take on Robins.

There's no manager more deserving of time and trust to sort things out. He's got a proven track record that's not in question and the man deserves a statue. Without him there may not be a club.

However, previous success isn't a guarantee of repeating it in the future. And we are very much into unknown territory now, he has never had this level of resources at his disposal or level of expectation. I'm pretty confident that he will turn round the current rut and that we will be around (and probably just short) of the POs. Which isnt apocalyptic in the grand scheme but certainly disappointing.

For me, the jury is out on whether he will be able to take us beyond the level of the last two seasons.

There have been a multitude of changes at the club and it's hard to imagine that hasn't had an impact, so you can't blame MR for everything but there are things that you absolutely can.

Eg: there's no excuse for the players looking so clueless. 9/11 starters were here last season yet they are playing as though they've never met each other before kick off. What's going on during training? We've played shittier teams that are far more organised and play cohesively compared to us. That's on MR for me.

We never seem to have a plan B when the opposition changes it up or stifles us. That's also on MR.

It's harder to judge team selection as I don't see what's happening behind the scenes but our two expensive CBs benched and replaced by golden boy lats and no clean sheets Binks is odd. As is playing EMC on the right. I'm sure there's a reason for it but from the outside it doesn't add up.

The final thing that does worry me a bit is listening to him after these abject performances, he doesn't really project confidence that he knows how to turn it round and it just feels a bit flat.

I hope I'm wrong but I don't think that everything is rosy as we would like behind the scenes, players getting visibly frustrated on the pitch after just 4 games is a worry and hints to that.

DL and AV were integral to our success, regardless of how they departed he is now alone amongst a backroom of DK appointees. He may have more people around him but is probably lonelier than ever - I think if we are way off and he feels he has been undermined there's a chance he will walk before DK makes the call anyway.

Ok let’s say we change the manager… who do you propose that realistically would take the Cov job?
I think Robins is doing a great job and better the devil you know than the devil you don’t. We are lucky he’s stayed with us for so long and bigger teams didn’t come calling

Your right the 18.5 million is based on 197 employees, the ones ive put are players wages

I wasn't calling for Robins head - far from it but I do have a nagging feeling about things.

To answer your question - I agree with you. I am surprised that Robins hasn't been poached by someone bigger, he certainly deserves the opportunity to manage in the prem.

If he left we wouldn't be short of candidates but I can't imagine anyone else in there - for me it's like ferguson leaving manure.

Longevity and consistency goes a long way, that's why we are where we are and not languishing in L1 or 2.

And we try and always work it wide despite none of our wide players putting in great crosses and none of our forwards being particularly dominant in the air and we have no one making late runs or following in or even going far post when the same shite floaty cross inevitably is overhit to the other side. Strikers start making runs but the midfield never hits them early unless is another floaty bollocks ball usually to the keeper.

It’s just all so shit.

if he was to leave someone like McKenna or Edward’s someone who knows how to get out of this league, both took their teams from league 2 all the way , makes you wonder why they could do it but we couldn’t ?

mckenna never managed Ipswich from league 2 to the prem , and Rob Edwards never managed Luton from league 2 to the prem .

Robins would be one of very few that went from bottom to top , we missed out on penalties

tbf to Edward’s he got them to 3rd and they stayed there, we’ve only ever scraped in the play offs, they won’t be down there for long, like us hopefully

But Edwards inherited a team that finished in the playoffs the year before .. they have a good team .

His win ratio everywhere besides forest green is below Robins , who had to build teams from nothing to get us to that playoff final from league 2
