They had their tails up for a while, as any team getting a goal back at home would have done- but we outclassed them. More shots, more shots on target, more corners, more possession. All they had was muscle and directness and a bit of momentum after their first which we soon snuffed out, we were clearly much the better team. Even if it had gone to 2-2, we were the better team that night by some distance.

But it’s the SBT way to paint as bleak a picture as possible about everything, rewrite history as much as possible to downplay things, and generally to be as negative as humanly possible.
And it’s the SBT way for you to be overly dramatic and try to create an argument out of fuck all.

I’d say trying to pretend that a 4-1 hammering was lucky is a slightly more dramatic flex than someone pointing out the silliness of such a view, but that’s SBT for you. The dominant narrative is essentially that everything is shite, Robins was lucky & actually not that good, we’re in a relegation battle, we got badly ripped off in buying all the players etc etc- that is “overly dramatic”.

I said at the point of their goal to make it 2-2 being wrongly disallowed.
Agree, it’s still my best game overall, the atmosphere afterwards was something else.
And yes, this just reeks of negativity.

Ultimately in football you make your own luck. Work hard get the ball in the right areas and generally results will reflect this. There are always the odd games where a team does all the right things but just cannot score maybe there keeper has a blinder etc but this generally over a season will balance out. Simply have a plan, work hard at delivering that plan and generally you have a chance of getting a positive result
