5 things you didn't know about Joe Elliott and Beduff's fallout
1. Joe Elliott is secretly Beduff's long lost father, they recently crossed paths having a spray tan and the girl doing the tan noticed their similarity and Elliott didn't want to know.
2. Elliott went out in the Mount and had too many cans of breakers and judas'd Beduff in the toilets for looking at him funny.
3. Elliott wouldn't give Beduff 10p to use that portaloo that has now been removed and replaced with a place for Pigeons to congregate so he ended up pissing himself.
4. Elliott didn't look where he was going when flying out of JBs on his motability scooter and crashed into Beduff's leg, injuring him severely.
5. Beduff once got bombholes in Elliott's 1956 CCFC jacket when smoking biftas in his Montego, things never were the same.

So many people tried getting in without tickets, it became a farce, people who had tickets had to stand outside and some gave up even bothering. The person at the door checking tickets was about 90 years old but he said to my mum to get in there and find a chair, then Joe came out of nowhere and shoved her back. I can imagine he was stressed but he could of just checked her ticket. About 8 people behind me all witnessed it and it all got heated because of him.

Better the devil you know. And at least GH and JE are fans. SHOULD they be able to buy the club, it may be easier to attract investors/other fans, knowing that its for the benefit of the team. If I had money to throw away, to help improve our fortunes, I'd be wary of doing that under the current regime.

You Can't expect disclosure of investors while a bid's are being placed. If after a purchase has been made then the investors have the right to stay in the shadows or come out and say what they expect from the investment made. Hoffman is no secret and is losing nothing by coming out and stating his objectives, in fact he has put pressure on Joy by stating some parts of the bid and saying its not derisory in his opinion while letting the fans decide if we think it is or not.
The fact its gone very quiet might mean Joy and Gary have decided to get round a table and discuss things to find if they can find common ground for any future deal. They both know media is not the way to do this at this stage and if one breaks silence then it will likely mean some sort of comeback, which makes it harder to deal when trust is being lost. As for us knowing the in's and outs im not interested to know now, i would prefer to know nothing until its either dead in the water or signed sealed and delivered.
Would i support Hoffman?, yes, listening to him on cwr has made its easier for me to agree with him on what is needed to change this club and turn it round. A plan of growth on strong foundation with supporter input is the way the club has to move forward. Sisu need the team to win to generate income which is hard when they are dismantling the product to allow progression, this with the fact they have destroyed the hope of the fans with them in control is a bad combination. Hoffman has more up his sleeve with this bid, more backing and i would of thought a closer relationship within to allow the base to be build to move forward.
Other than this we as fans have no other option, buy a ST its up to the individual but for me i would ask 2 question's.
Am i supporting the boys or supporting Sisu to carry on with the demise of the club which is where they are taking it.
And when should they support the boys which will allow me to support them to gain progression for my club.
Supporting the boys for me is ok but everyday, every year it must get harder to do for loyal fans, i dont have this issue i gave up on the club while these are here a while ago. It hurts but i know it will not get better while they are in control and question others for trying to change it weather thats means no more ST, only away games or Hoffman trying to buy it. Time will tell us all the answer but i hope this time next year we are all talking about promotion and investment within the club. Not look what we could of done if we had kept Thomas, Stevenson, Willis or Haynes, i fear the pattern will continue and fans will be blamed for the lack of success.

He hasn't put pressure on though by revealing parts of the bid, he has eased the pressure by revealing more as it's given more to be analysed and made it clearer that it was never going to be accepted.
Also, don't try the whole "supporting SISU" line.

Exactly, I wanted to be persuaded by the offers that were dubbed as too good to say no to etc.
It persuaded me the more info that came out that it would never be accepted because of the addons and the way it was to be debt free etc.
It's like you persuading me you were going to knock Conor McGregor out because you once backhanded a drunken man outside the city arms and made him cry. I'd still like to see you beat him up, I just don't think it's going to happen

If we didn't know the details then we would think SISU were just being cunts and GH had offered the world. Details show it was a crap bid they wouldn't accept and one that gives them.loads of our income for years to come. Exactly why we need detail not a veil of secrecy.

That's because the bid wasn't actually very good when we found out more information so was no way going to be accepted. It was also rejected straight out.
There always seem to be catches away from the headline figures that get people excited.
It's being realistic. If there's a bid with none of the dodgy catches and more realistic then it's more likely to be accepted.
I want bids and takeovers to work, pointing out that they won't after getting more info isn't being negative. The same as needing more info to be able to judge rather than blindly backing (which then turns out to have clauses and terms) isn't either.

Certainly not against someone buying SISU out of the club, but what does concern me is that the lead guy was part of SISU for an amount of time (during which he along with others agreed to try and shut down the academy). Surely you would want to ideally cut any ties with the current regime as well as previous ones too and have a completely fresh start.
There are other business people involved - why can't one of them be the lead? Or are there more spurious characters from our past involved?

A lot continues to be made of this idea that 'we' didn't ask enough questions when SISU first arrived. Firstly i doubt any normal fan will get to ask any questions or have any meaningful influence on any takeover back then or now. Secondly asking questions back then would have made a single jot of difference. Who at the time could have realistically imagined a future of us leaving the Ricoh and playing in Northampton, I doubt even Joy had that planned then.Any answers Joy gave back then,would have been accepted by the fans as genuine,it was only as the years progressed people began to question their honesty,integrity and indeed competence, but by then it was all too late.Any prospective owner can easily tell the fans want they want to hear, I imagine 99% of new owners probably come with good intentions, If SISU had come in and 'fluked' an instant promotion to the promised land and then sold out at a big profit, I expect most fans would have had fond memories of Joy.

the problem is NW that I don't see any shred of evidence that there is another potential bidder. There may be of course.
I get al that, I really do - But I am prepared to take a leap of faith as we need new ownership. Something I didn't do when Sisu took over - I was very much "wait and see". Maybe I have become more desperate after 9 years.
It will probably all come to nothing anyway, and we are stuck with Sisu and an ever declining state of affairs.

Thing is, if they can take control from SISU if a new interested party then stepped forward,
I would think they would find Hoff and co a lot easier to deal with than they ever would SISU.
Indeed as fans of the club "(and I do get the impression their main objection is to save the -
Club, rather than some vanity project) I think they'd be delighted if someone stepped up
Who could really take the club forward.
Who knows there maybe someone behind the scenes, instigating the Hoffman bid because

Isn't the whole point of NOPM to starve the club of funds.

I think in the case of being taken over by Wasps - conjecture I know - it would be a case of making the same mistakes we've made in the past and expecting a different outcome.
Personally I hope a hedge fund never comes near CCFC again.

Me too, the only plus side is we wouldn't be homeless in 2018, the academy would have a home and the players would have a training ground. As it stands presently, we have none of the three.
