who are these people you keep referring to, as this board is not a fair representation of ccfc fans or residents of Coventry and beyond ?
The majority of the city residents neither go to games or read the the paper.
If you are referring to the 2k or so who have season tickets, then they have committed to supporting the cub for another year
If you are talking about walk ups, well, maybe just maybe, they might be affected and will either hold off for news, or for people like me, still go to games, hopefully this mess with end one day
If your talking about fans who have walked away, surely this may give them hope better days are to come
You know I was referring to your use of "was" instead of "were" though right? Rather than your massive word
In general I guess, how many people see the dream being put out and wonder what's behind it? .
Well, with 1,500 on here, 7,000 going to games next season and 20,000 circulation from the CT, out of a city with 300,000, I would suggest the answer to your question is....
.........very little
Which was my point.
so why get upset ?
Nobody is upset, I was wondering if anybody else had that thought process.
very few, as less than 0.5% of the coventry population are likely to have exposure of it. The PR battle is talking to fewer and fewer people the weeks / months / years go on...
What happened to your angry boycott of Wasps you tried to push that time? It's about the same time I said there was a massive thing about to happen because of the way PR was building up to stuff, the way announcements were being drip fed.
Do people really just see the "invest in players, fans on the board stuff" and not think "that sounds amazing, I hope it happens but why now? whats the reason behind the statement?" or do they go off onto a day dream of happiness?
People get all uptight and shout conspiracy when patterns or things that just happen to be co-incidence get pointed out. It doesn't mean I wouldn't want loads of money given to CCFC to buy players and winning leagues and the dream, it just means I am going to hold my horses before getting excited about it and try and figure it all out.
Still boycotting Wasps personally and would encourage people to do the same. Never said anything different so I'm not sure why you're bringing it up.
If it results in a deal not to our advantage, that would be a bad thing.
It was in reply to you mentioning them...
I didn't mention them. Zack did.
You put about not worrying about them, I quoted your post that you typed that contained Wasps and pointed out something relevant you posted about Wasps.
I wasn't just bringing it up randomly.
The context that if you mention wasps you aren't bothered about ccfc, hence I mentioned your thread dedicated to wasps. And the context in which I said that was?
Playing games again Nick.
So CCFC having somewhere to play in 12 months time isn't of any benefit to CCFC?My concern is that a deal beneficial for wasps will not be to the benefit of ccfc. Not hard to understand really.

I replied to the context meant by the post.
If our club is to rebuild we need to a serious input of building bridges with all the stakeholders in the City. We desperately need a pragmatic approach to a new business plan, as the current one fails year on year! That invariable will mean positive outcomes for any partner that CCFC links with...beit Wasps or Coventry Rugby Club, etc....Why should another club subsidise CCFC? Surely, we wouldn't divert CCFC money to another club if we owned the Ricoh? My concern is that a deal beneficial for wasps will not be to the benefit of ccfc. Not hard to understand really.
We're homeless in less than 12 months, any deal right now would be beneficial to CCFC, it's future, and it's supporters, god knows what you're thinking...!!My concern is that a deal beneficial for wasps will not be to the benefit of ccfc. Not hard to understand really.
The danger of course is that CCFC subsidise Wasps. Why should another club subsidise CCFC?
The danger of course is that CCFC subsidise Wasps.
Much as with ACL and CCFC, it's pretty hard to come to a mutually agreeable option, when the two 'sides' needs and aims are rather different.
Not impossible... but certainly not simple and easy.

I wouldn't trust him/ them to build a head of steam, let alone a bridge, and don't getEven Tims preferred option is on the record of saying that they won't deal with SISU. Until some bridges are built it's hard to see what is happening with the club beyond the end of next season.
SISU either need to start building bridges in good faith or do one and let someone else do it who has the best interests of the club at the forefront.
Ccfc at the Ricoh will add to Wasps incomes. The danger of course is that CCFC subsidise Wasps.

Your source will ruin any deal, given Hoffman's desire for privacy to negotiate away from the glar of publicity.Bet your life though that Hoffman and co have that side all tied up ready..
That's the thing though NW, unless I've missed something there has been no negotiationYour source will ruin any deal, given Hoffman's desire for privacy to negotiate away from the glar of publicity.
It's not rocket science......any deal to have access to a ground so we continue to exist will mean a profit margin for our landlords, but it also means there is potential to realise some return from a percentage of match day revenues.Your source will ruin any deal, given Hoffman's desire for privacy to negotiate away from the glar of publicity.
...and all played out in a semi-public arena of innuendo and chinese whispers. That's the thing though NW, unless I've missed something there has been no negotiation
At all, just offers made, followed by buckets of scorn.
...and all played out in a semi-public arena of innuendo and chinese whispers.
But wasn't it Joy who took the bids public and now seems she won't negotiate in private or even name a price?...and all played out in a semi-public arena of innuendo and chinese whispers.
All started on here and other social media...But wasn't it Joy who took the bids public and now seems she won't negotiate in private or even name a price?
