Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations (41 Viewers)

So if the offer was made last weekend and the club statement today says it isn't credible for SISU its a non starter surely. Some will say its the start of negotiations but is it? The club statement is actually quite scathing of the bid if you read it. As too is the content from Reid
The consortium would not have bought their best bid to the table first and foremost would they? They would have entered that bid knowing there was a minute chance of it being accepted.
SISU's scathing remarks, isn't this similar to a club making an offer for a player say 10mil, the manager of said player comes out and says its not a credible valuation and nowhere near what theyd accept, player is sold a month later for 12mil.

You didn't believe him, and you've been proven wrong. Simple as that.

How does that quote explain that?

Again, explain the context....

I think that as we reasonably assume where Reid gets his information from the values in his latest article will be pretty much on the money. Not only that but I would think his tone reflects the tone of the owners

I don't think she will deal with Hoffman full stop

but why for gods sake cut and paste all the other stuff again

Shows that there is interest. And Nick, why shouldn't people get "wound up", although I prefer to see it as a positive thing. Just for once try try see from th point of view o the vast majority of fans.

I now have a glimmer of hope where before there was none.

Why shouldn't they get wound up when told to? Do you want me to answer that?

What's the point in playing a PR game if this is using the fans? Get the hopes up / get them angry?

Offer rejected as "derisory" according to Les.

I'm sure the original article was written then parts omitted for a drip, drip effect. Or in SISU's case tidal waves of sewage. I'm expecting the obligatory 'The club is not for sale' to be the next pre-canned release.

More detail being leaked in the PR war, a 'derisory' offer of £500k from Hoffman apparently.

What's the market value of Ryton with planning permission for housing?

Fucking telegraph. Literally no exclusive there at all. Same story as the observer earlier just the telegraph forgot to say the offer was rejected cause it was shite

£500K up front? He must know there is no way they are going to accept an offer like that.

Love how there was rumours about Hoff and the CT shut it down saying they'd spoken to him and it was all rubbish.

I don't think it's as much the up front stuff, but more what will be done about the debt.

They could say 500k up front and 100% debt free which is never going to work.

The last one he did when he used Michael as a front was for the club debt free.

Half a mil? Was never going to be accepted, was it? He needs to make a serious offer or they will continue to reject.

You really have a low opinion of our fans don't you. Get your head out of social media. You may be surprised but most people have more intelligence than you give them credit for.
Please stop, the pair of you, the goldfish talk was more interesting than this.

Really? You must have selective reading then.

Is it that OSB or is it that genuinely, they want proof of funds and to know who the investors are? I'd say that she'd say no, potentially on the basis of lack of cash up front, but more so that the other investors 'may' include people connected to Wasps which could influence JR2. Might be wrong but I wouldn't necessarily say she won't deal with the Hoff. In my opinion, they need a lot more substance to take to the table.

I guess the positive in all this, is that they will listen to offers. Clutching at straws and all that.

Well, maybe he was keeping it confidential, unlike Les' source eh? Where is Ken D these days? ;)
