Has anybody thought why any bids have been rejected with Hoffman in the equation? I have my theories as to why this is. Discuss, and I'll give my thoughts on it later.

Maybe because if he is involved, any dirty washing (that he may have been privvy too) could be hung out in public once SISU have gone.

What was his role at CCFC? Vice Chairman? Was he responsible for the Finance? If so, maybe Tim's assertion that the books were in a mess reflected badly on him, given his trade, and he may want to put that right? Just guessing.

Not far off imho mate. I think Hoffman knows exactly what debt SISU have, and knows that it's nothing like they claim it to be. What other reason could SISU want to see "Transparency" who is making any offer before the offer is made! They imho want to deal with bidders with no colaboration with Hoffman or. for that matter Elliot. These two know more than anyone gives them credit for.

What I don't get is why Hoffman is being given a free pass as our potential saviour. He was front & centre for the whole mess in the first place – along with Onye, Ranson et al – and has to take some major responsibility for running up the debts and our fall from grace, surely?

True but he is apparently the only alternative that seems interested at the moment - most fans would choose him over SISU in a heartbeat.

In what way was he?

How many others then said "lets make them accept it at the walsall game".

If the massive news that a fantastic offer was rejected was to have come out in the telegraph today, the day before the walsall game then it would have stirred a fair bit up.

You're mental.

No-one is releasing rumours to "stir things up". What's the point? There's no massive conspiracy Nick, just an endless succession of arseholes and fuck ups.

Edit: I see the Sisu Defence Force are out today. Is there some kind of c**t signal for you guys, or a WhatsApp group, or?

By the way I could show you inboxes on Facebook that tell me business men from Coventry are going to try and get the club once relegation is confirmed , this was a few days before the post on Facebook and any leak being mentioned .
I chose to believe my usual source over these rumours once he got in touch because if never had solid info before from other people .
Either way just be happy people are trying to remove SISU
Evo, fair play to you mate. You obviously had some rumblings but wanted to have something a bit more concrete before you shared it with us. Best way and thanks for letting it out of the bag when you felt it was appropriate.

Though it turned out to be a failed bid, it WAS proof that something was going on. Without your post, which started this thread and I'll bet ultimately led to the CT and the Observer asking questions, we might never have known anything was afoot. If anything it puts pressure of Fisher, SISU, the league, that people are not happy and want change. It might also encourge potential buyers that if they want to play the game, they need to be serious and have a proper wad in the wings.

Of course things get stirred up and rumours get released for that very purpose. Do you really think rumours aren't used "tactically"?

Sisu Defence Force, have a word with yourself or link me to where they are being defended? By saying an offer wouldn't be good enough for them to accept isn't defending them. At least using your logic OSB is now part of the SISU defence force, I will get him a t shirt made up.

Shouting and crying saying "they should accept this offer I know nothing about because I want them to" is however more mental and a bit naive.

Maybe try and read things and reply to the points rather than just using SISU defence, it doesn't really work.

In what way was he?

He was the vice-chairman whilst SISU spunked their initial investment on Chris Coleman and his mediocre signings rather than make a genuine attempt to seize the Ricoh and put in place some foundations for a sustainable future. The bloke's track record with CCFC is as bad as anybody's.

I've never bought Ranson's damage control, telling us that we'd have signed Andy Carroll and Jordan Henderson for £2.50 if he had his way. Tim Fisher is just the final end level boss version of Ranson.

When Fisher leaves if he says "I wanted SISU to go because I hated them and I wanted to buy Adam Armstrong but they said no" will he be a hero?

I do believe they wouldn't play their best hand straight away , if they are serious about this they will keep negotiating up until they reach their limit

agree, but I'm worried the consortium upper limit won't meet sisus valuation which I expect to be unrealistic.
