It is important. Very. According to Derek Richardson. That's why they stole, sorry, purchased the Ricoh.

Not sure where you think money for players is going to come from if we don't have any income. Taking the piss is fair enough so you may want to let us know what the alternative is. Paying rent to Wasps for 250 years doesn't sound like a very good one.

Not taking the piss literally. You just can't afford to lose your SOH at a time like this even if it is as poor as mine :D

All of this about we must own our own stadium is full of contradictions. I keep hearing that the arena was making a loss without a football club in place and that it was only doing any good when we were paying rent. So what is this 365 income we keep hearing about? If we own the stadium we also have to pay for it's upkeep. This would cover for a lot of the rent we wouldn't be paying if we owned it. It isn't a special thing that would allow us to buy players.

So Wasps more or less own the arena. So what is one of the first things they want to do? Raise 35m to pay off CCC and keep some more to make payments for the interest. Why not use the money coming in from owning their own stadium?

Sorry but I don't think the income is worth that much. What we need is a long term cheap rental agreement. It would be much better than owning a stadium that doesn't seem to bring much cash in whilst also having to raise a lot of money to build one. And when we finally get back to the Prem or get money from elsewhere then consider building a stadium. That is unless the issue of building is forced upon us.

I've been going down the BPA for the last 4 years or so in line with SISU trashing CCFC.............there's quite a little club of us disillusioned Sky Blues !

.......all shouting "HANDBALL!!!"

Was this the bloke you were talking to?

Could well have been, I'd never seen him before. He was sat by me. Normally the seats are empty unless it's a £10 game.

How many grounds truly earn 365 income anyway ?

Some small clubs may be close to it. My local non-league club had their 4G pitch installed in 2011 and have just staged their 1000th match on it, which I found staggering. Their average crowd is about 150 for league games so they need to generate income from everywhere.

Of course we can't have such a pitch unless we are non-league. Oh dear......just sussed Sisu's plan!

Don't believe it, though I wouldn't put anything past our owners.

Had me thinking though. If we did ever move away again I would completely remove myself from supporting CCFC in any way whatsoever until SISU left - that means following them away from home, listening to the match on the radio etc. I would go and watch another midlands team , even Aston Villa wouldn't be ruled out, such would be my outrage. I'll support (or kid myself I support) someone else for however long it takes , and I'll put my cash their way.

On the off chance that the rumour is doing the rounds to gauge a response I can categorically confirm that I would be out. R&D's ground is a trek from Rugby let alone Coventry.

...I'll become a bluenose if this happens. They're pretty crap floating around in mid table Championship. That'll do nicely.

If it is done so that CCFC can survive I expect the trust and Telegraph will fully back it?

It won't happen but if it was a permanent move I'd be out, if it was temporary while something else was sorted I would go to some games. It is a bitch to get to so not as many as I did at Sixfields.

They won't get 1000 there. Unless ,of course ,they decide to change the name to something more local. There's an idea.

I would imagine the local media and people in Rushden would be delighted. They would see it as a good thing that their local stadium was being used again. They wouldn't care about the wrongs and rights of it.

Can't see this being the case anyway. Even if there was a remote chance that this was going to happen, I doubt any decision would be made until we know what division we will be in next year.

I wonder what Wasps would have to do before the majority of our fan base actually got pissed off with them?

Its alright, the council got assurances from Wasps that they wouldn't jack up the rent for CCFC. Pisstake if true, are they allowed to do that if we have a contract agreed to pay X amount for the next 2-4 years?

To the original thread point as well, I can't see it happening as it makes no sense. I don't think another Northampton scenario will happen again as SISU can't afford it.

Well we now know the severance option on two years is on their side.

Something that damages CCFC purely out of spite.

So basically they can do whatever do they like and damage the club indefinitely, as long as there was a good reason for it from a Wasps perspective then its all ok.

Wasps will do what is good for Wasps. We might not like that, but I think most city fans understand that.

Yes, they will do what is good for Wasps.

However if they do something that damages CCFC I'm still gonna be pissed off, I'm not going to make excuses for them and justify what they done/do like some on here. Your original response to chiefdave suggests you wouldn't be pissed off.

I don't.

If wasps do hike the rent and try and force the club out any real ccfc fan would never go again.

There is a difference between being pissed off with something than being pissed off with someone.

Were you pissed off after Crewe beat us? Were you pissed off with Crewe?

I don't.

You dont understand why Wasps would want to do what is best for Wasps?

Also what is a "real" city fan?
