God knows. Probably Don. If imagine he is keeping his head down after McDonald's lethargic and totally abject performance yesterday.
He is nowhere near good enough to yet attract serious interest - there are some major flaws that need rectifying.
Someone on here once compared Chris Hussey to Bale.
Isn't Pugh our leading assister?
No he didn't. He said he was like a haystack.
What struck me last night is how tight these Cov lads are.
When It kicked off between Clarke and that Gillingham lad,Thomas and willis were straight In there looking after him.
I think It's great we have a solid homegrown contingent ,and It may be possible to expand It further .
Very reminiscent of the early 80's under Milne and Sexton ,difference being Wilson like Thompson has been sold but It's probably not as simple for the rest to walk,at least that's what I hope.
Very early days with young Haynes but he looks better going forward than Christie did at the same stage. Defensively what you would expect from an academy graduate in his first full season though if we were to get Pugh back to fitness it might even be worth trying him out further up the pitch. Seems to be the case with so many good wingers that they start their careers out as full backs.
Just found this on wiki
Ryan Matthew Haynes (born 27 September 1995) is an English football player, widely considered to be one of the brightest ginger prospects in football. He is a defender who currently plays for Football League One team Coventry City. He played the game of his career against Gillingham on 6th of September where the right back for Gillingham would not mark him as they were too scared to get merked by his bare skills. Some call him the ginger Roberto Carlos due to his fast pace and great vision to pass the ball to the strikers.
Come on, which one of you was it?
He certainly has a greater awareness than Christie, quality crosser and a great pull back yesterday for the goal. Christie either crossed poorly or cut inside and lashed a shot way off target 95% of the time.
You never know who is reading these threads.
So I agree with Grendelhe is shit will never be any good playing for anyone else!!!
I think defensively he looks very weak at the moment. Going forward yes he supplied some killer crosses but I would expect that for much of the season he will be on the bench.
You said yourself that he is only 18 and not the finished article. He has a lot to learn. Most of us would agree with this. It will all come with experience. The thing is what I have seen from him so far tells me he won't end up as a defensive player. Would you put him in defence if we were playing 4-4-2? I would certainly play him on the left wing. He can certainly split a defence. And I am of the mind of why play a player that can do such a thing in defence? Leave him in the middle 1/3 of the pitch. Once he is better known other teams will leave players on him reducing the attacking threat from them and stopping them from pushing us back like the second half yesterday.
I think that happened more because we just dropped our intensity and became sloppy in possession. Understandable given how pumped up they'd have been at the start.
Like Conor Thomas when he went to Liverpool or Adam Barton? Most such signings end in disaster.

I thought JO'B also looked good throughout. And Fleck.
TBH, they all played well. Thomas steadily got worse unfortunately, and Tudgay didn't offer much. But generally a good performance and a key win. 20K vs Yeovil please
Not saying everybody let things drop but it seemed that we did as a whole take our feet off the gas. Which always happens as you rarely control league games from start to finish. So many times the shoe has been on the other foot so no complaints from me.

I fully agree with you, but having a player that was going past their players for fun doing defensive duties wouldn't have helped. I would prefer him to be given more freedom. A player can't keep running the whole length of the pitch all the game.
agreed. was just saying in general
That long range shot from Fleck was an excellent attempt. One comment in the pub said it all. 'Why isn't he playing at a higher level?' As usual I was the only Cov supporter. Haynes, Fleck and Reda got noticed.
Of course. So many times a big Ricoh crowd has caused the team to buckle, last night it seemed to go the other way and they thrived off it. 27,000 a week is unrealistic to expect but if we can keep it to say at least 20k then the Ricoh could become a tough place to come once more.
It was me......a fair cop.
No such thing!......a fair cop.
Ryan, your a star mate, gonna go all the way, just buy some dye ffsYou never know who is reading these threads.
