If you're a fan you support the club - you don't agree with everything they do, but you support them.
When i thought we had Hoffman as a viable alternative, i wanted sisu out. Only because as a fan i would trust him to put as much into the team as possible and try to purchase half the stadium, but there are no guarantees he would get us any further with his 30 million than sisu have, as that money would have to cover our losses and is not all for improvement. Up until the last transfer window, i thought sisu's plan was to sell as many players as possible to recoup their outlay and leg it. With the resistance to offers for Juke and the purchase of a striker, all be it from league 2, they have demonstrated that , whilst they still need to dramatically reduce the running costs and they will have to sell players to offset the losses ,they may have at least one eye on the playing squad and they have a longer term plan.Without Hoffmans bid the only alternative to sisu seems to be administration. The administrator would, like sisu, continue to sell , probably more vigourously, to raise money to offset losses and pay off creditors(probably sisu). Ok , a potential purchaser may get the club cheap, but is there one? Administration scares me because it is an unknown and seems to be taking my club a step nearer to ceasing to exist.
The upshot is that for now sisu seems to be our best option. When they came in they stated that we needed 25000 ish fans up the ricoh to break even. We dont get that. We are losing money. It would be nice if they were willing to throw more of their cash at us, but we cant blame them if they cant. We have to continue to cut costs or increase revenue. With premier league parachute payments lasting four years now we could end up with 6-12 championship clubs on these payments at any one time. We are a poor relation. Our level, i guess, according to our finances, will be bottom end championship or maybe league 1 unless we can source other investment. Even then ,if the fair play rules come in, i dont know how clubs with sugar daddies (Leicester, cardiff etc) will stand. So i think we need to live within our means, find our level and hope that good management and astute player purchases together with a strong academy will see us grow. So for now at least, i support sisu. With fingers and toes crossed.

Sorry, but there is absolutely no evidence whatsoever that we resisted offers for Juke. Just because he didn't go doesn't mean we weren't trying to sell him. Guess it's all down to whether you blindly believe Sisu or not.
Well there's Boro saying publically that they bid a significant amount for him and he's still here.
What evidence do you have to the contrary? It works both ways you know...
Yes it does, but as I say just because we didn't sell him doesn't mean we didn't intend to. The CT quite clearly stated that the only reason further players weren't sold was because of the cash from Ben Turner and Scott Dann's sales.
Maybe it is just in the wording. People on here are lauding Sisu for 'resisting' the sale of our players. That's not quite the same as that they were intending to sell but didn't have to in the end is it!
Had Fatty Parkin signed for us the Juke would have been sold to Middlesbrough.
exactly.No-one has come up with the answer as to why we tried to buy two strikers! Parkin and McDonald. McDonald was top priority according to AT. That kind of points to us getting McDonald anyway and Parkin being a replacement for Juke. Unless of course we were going to have Parkin AND McDonald to add to a strikeforce of Juke, Platt, Eastwood, ROD and Jeffers!! Can't believe that we were going to buy two more strikers thoughand end up with SEVEN strikers at the club. Logically you would think Parkin was to replace Juke and McDonald was the other striker we wanted to bring in.
Fatc is, people on here are praising Sisu for resisting offers for Juke. With their record of information and spin why on earth would anyone believe that to be true?
I also have to say, if you don't like the post then why comment on it? The forum's up for these sorts of purposes and a thread like this will instigate a debate which is what people want. So I'd say it's far from silly.

A strong academy is the way forward when you have no money. Doesn't mean selling them at the drop of a hat though at the first opportunity.
Bigi for instance looks like he will develop into a really good player. His value could sky rocket if he's given chance to develop and not be sold before his true potential is realised.
who says the ryton mortgage was paid off?
It looks as though SISU have realised they are stuck with us if they want their investment back. They know to get a profit from us they need to get more fans in the ground. To do this we need a winning team. I am waiting to see what loans come in. Maybe the new board members came in because they realised the club was being run the wrong way.
I do not love the fact SISU still own us. At least they are still funding us. There is nobody else prepared to fund us. Now they have realsed their failings it is time for one more chance. Why not? We don't have anyone else. Protests at games will affect the players. It looks like we either dislike or hate SISU. We still need to get behind our team.
