My daughter was going to do that for me but in the meantime I obtained 1 in the city end from a fellow supporter.Won't have to sit on my hands now.
I just find it strange that these clubs turn away people who want to give them money. Extra money they get from people like me could help keep them stay afloat or even help buy a better player.
(thoughts of an old geezer)
I guess it's the potential for trouble and the costs that could entail, be it fines or even being forced to pay for extra security/policing in future games because of an incident.
Even though it may well be that the person buying isn't intending to be trouble (or at least isn't stupid enough to do it surrounded by thousands of opposition fans), but there is always the chance there will be dickheads in the home support who would start on them, especially if they've had a few and the 'tribe' instinct kicks in.
Of course you may well say "I'm not going to cause trouble", or wear team colours and will keep quiet and not celebrate if we score etc., but they can't make that assumption. There are people who are dickheads or stupid (or both) that wouldn't, and it only takes one to end up costing the club more money than they make from the ticket sale. Even I've found myself inadvertently getting excited when we've scored while in an away end even though I was trying really hard to not bring attention to myself.
